What I'm more interested to hear about is further elaboration on Nathan Crowley's comments about how Batman requires it for a 'very specific purpose' to do 'something he can't do'.

Exactly. With him being able to "rotate" his seating position on this thing, that will make for some ridiculous visuals.

I freakin hated the Batmobile because it was a big ugly clunker and I now hate the Bat-cycle for the same reason. What the hell is Nolan thinking? I hate this realism- non realism crap in these movies. Oh and the costume blows too. The overall design for these movie's seem to be big, muddy and ugly. Although Begins is one of the better comicbook movie's it's still not really Batman to me. Oh well I guess I'll see that movie when I'm 50.

If the spoilers from JoBlo are correct, then this is a very probable scenario:

We know that the Joker crashes the party, grabs Rachel and begins his escape. He might very well use the purple wagon we've been seeing pics of recently. Bats tries to give chase in the Tumbler, but it is rigged to blow (the Joker expected Batman to follow him, so he sets up his ride). So the bike breaks away from the Tumbler which Batman uses to chase the Joker. That could explain terms like "he requires it" (as in something to be used out of necessity), "very specific purpose" (giving chase to save Rachel) and "something he can't do" (catch up with the Joker without a vehicle).

Not surprised - some people hate different, unique and innovative things, no big deal.

I bet you eat at the same places and order the same thing everytime. How bland.

You don't think trying function over form for once is interesting? A bike that actually works at high speed is far more interesting to me than a nice looking one that doesn't

You nailed it - I for one don't want something "pretty" just for the sake of it. I want something that works, is different, and brings something different to the table that's never been done before.

I can definitely see a Joker pursuit, but how would Batman know it's rigged to blow? Hopefully not another "foreign device" detection system in the car

The bike is pretty freakin' cool. Although, the name "Bat-Pod" does seem to inspire some rather silly images in my head...

I dunno. Guess we'll have to wait and see how that happens if in fact this is what takes place.

Joker could attach a chain to the rear axle, pulling the car apart. That would make Batman look a little dumb though

I'm sorry I talked poorly about your g-d Nolan. Seriously dude, seriously? I can't believe you resorted to personal insults because I don't care for the awful designs in your precious Batman movies. Seriously dude? Have a  you need something pretty.

Just a warning, if you go against the majority here, be prepared to be flamed. They don't like others having different opinions than theirs.

Obviously not everybody is going to like it, but that is no reason to attack somebody. It's dumb trying to attack somebody for a different pov.

I already have "pretty" things in my life, and Batman nor his vehicles need to fit into that category.

Personal insults? When? Where? If you took that joke I made personally, I guess I was spot on.

Exactly, and it happens in EVERY forum here, not just this one, remember that.

Are you okay? Get over your blind Nolan love for a moment and realize this, I'm a completely different human being. I hate the cinematography and costume and vehicle design for these films. Hey I'm quiet sure I have a different opinion than yours about other films too! You seem to believe that I'm passing my opinion off as your own, but as hard as it is to believe I'm not like most people on Superhero Hype. I haven't somehow ordaned Superman the movie as a classic and the best comicbook movie ever made, nor have I deemed X2 or Spider-man 2 the best. I make up my own mind about ***** and don't even begin to pretend that it's what everybody does or should think. A world without different opinions just doesn't exist. As much as I would love for everybody to agree with my opinions they don't. For instance I would love if everyone agreed with me that Batman Begins is a hugely overrated movie and that Spidey 1 and 2 and Blade 1 and 2 are the best comicbook movies. I would love if everyone thought that Bryan Singer and Ridley Scott were overrated and that the latters movies just get down right boring at times, I would love if everyone hated Ghostrider, The Crow and SR (although I don't think it's a bad movie) as much as I do, but everyone doesn't agree with me about those things, so it would be silly of me to expect them to because they are different people. I joke that everybody's opinion is wrong but mine but I don't honestly believe that, especially when it comes to films. My opinions are my own.

For the record I don't care for Burton's films and think that Batman Returns is just dreadful and is one one liner away for being Batman and Robin bad. Disliked JS's Batman movies also. I'm not picking on Nolan, I think that he made the best movie of the lot but that doesn't mean that I think it was a great film and that I believe it represents what I love about Batman. I just don't and frankly I think you need to just deal with that fact.

Peace out:up:

Beautiful and ugly is in the eye of the beholder. They look badass to me, and that´s cool-looking in its own way.

Well, I think Spider-Man 2 and Batman Begins are the best comic book films ever made, That K for you? Just jokin'... :oldrazz:

Yes, but it's my (and a few others I reckon) opinion that they are big ugly clunkers. I'm glad you love em but I don't:up:

Your sig dismisses everybody who doesn't agree with you as "fanboys who don't get it." I'm going to ignore you on this subject for that very reason.

I´m sick and tired of this deceitful "thought police" argument. You know, what really annoys me is not people not liking the suit or the Batpod or whatever, it´s I see the same people from before basically recycling all the same arguments they used against Begins that were already proven wrong. A lot of people insisted Batman was going to look "robotic" in Begins. He didn´t, and yet they bring that argument back for the umpteenth time. People said the Tumbler was going to suck at chase scenes cuz it wasn´t a sleek sports car with fins, it didn´t and now they bring back all that crap again with the Batpod, it´s like listening to broken records.
