The Dark Knight Batcycle

I was actually one of the people that thought a cycle wouldn't work, I wanted a boat with all the water and channels running within and around the city.

I also wanted a different cycle IF Nolan was going that route. Well, guess what? It's WAY different, just like the Tumbler, and that's why I love this thing. From a technology standpoint, it should be ridiculous with what it's going to be able to do on film - it's going to be a sight to see, especially in IMAX.

That's one thing I like about Nolan's approach. Rather than design a vehicle and then make it do things, he figures out what he wants done and then designs a vehicle to suit that purpose. This thing should rock on screen.

just be grateful that Batman has got the best cast, best director and best production possible.

The fact is, the movie will be incredible,

stop whining and get over it

there are worse things that could happen, such as having a movie end up like Superman Returns or Blade Trinity.

Nolan is the master, and will deliver

it makes sense that the batcycle is similar in look to the tumbler,

it looks perfectly fine and looks exactly what batman should be using

looks similar? It's like a few pipes, wheels and seat, not a huge hulking tank.....

Agreed - a lot of people whined about the tumbler too and changed their tune when they saw BB. The Batcycle looks great, and I can't wait to see it in action t:

I wouldn't worry about that though. The Tumbler was equipped with missiles and in B89 the batmobile had machine guns but he never used them on people. Same idea here.

It´s one of the differences between Begins and 89. In 89, Bats uses the bomb from the batmobile on Joker´s henchmen, then he aims all the batwing´s weaponry on the Joker and shoots in cold blood. All he did in Begins was to bust a wall.

Good point. Forgot about the bombs and aiming at the Joker. D'oh! Just remembered him using the guns on the batmobile to shoot down the door to the chemical plant.

No, majority isn´t always right - the war on Iraq had majority support for a long while too -, but then again we´re not post-WW1 Germany and we´re not desperate to fight terrorism in this particular debate context. There´s been a lot of opinion variety and emotional response hasn´t been too extreme and there´s plenty of freedom of expression and Nolan´s given us already an example of his take with Begins and yet the majority is on his dide.

his 'style' revolves around gimmicks and suchlike, rather than skill. It's like when some people get a camera and looks at the effects, going oh, that's cool, then they use it for the sake of it.

His use of camera is infantile, his brother on the other hand, can actually write rather well indeed.
