Batman and Son (Batman #655 - #658)

I thought the Ninja Man-Bats were awesome.

Same here, I felt like this arc is the Batman I've been waiting to see again since DKR. Morrison's writing and Kubert's art mesh fantastically well together, and honestly I wish they'd stay on forever.

I agree. You need the superhero Batman sometimes. And it's great, because you have Dini doing to the gritty detective stuff in Detective Comics while Wagner tackles both styles in Mad Monk.

Plus I love that Morrison's a bit crazy and that he doesn't give a damn if the story's a bit wild. It never becomes campy or cheesy.

What camp version? I don't see any.
Oh well maybe I was jumping the gun, but I was basing it off that Aunt Agatha falshback or somesuch Bruce had, and a Morrison interview I read, about this run.

Anyone read 657 yet? I'm having a blast reading it. :D

It was pretty good, but CHRIST, Damian is such a little b***h! Where's The Joker with a crowbar when you need him?!

I enjoyed this issue very much, can't wait to see how it ends.

Best issue of Morrison's run yet. Damien is a complete tool but that made for great reading.

damian kicked robin's azz..wow

Damien wanted to kill tim, tim was trying to settle him down. And because tim is human with no meta traits like inhuman durability, him getting knocked out from falling a high distance isnt much praise. I mean joker beat jason to a pulp even though jason was more skilled in fighting. And on further not, jason needs to kill damien.

Joker didn't just beat Jason to a pulp. Jason was triple teamed, toppled, and beaten down by three thugs. Joker then came in when Jason was down, and proceded to beat the living sh** out of Jason, with a crowbar. That's a far cry from Jason going one on one against the joker, in which case, Jason would probably win.

So after all that Damien did, you know the beheading, the grenade, maybe killing Alfred, Tim STILL tries to reason with him?

my guess:

damian is ra's al ghul. he needed a new body.

actually he did something like that in batman beyond, when he possesed talia's body...

That would be an unexpected twist.

I probably shouldn't even be reading this thread, because I have yet to pick up #657 yet. But now that you mentioned that Damian could belong to Ra's...oh man...that would be something else.

Bill Finger. **** Bob Kane.
Another internet geek jumping on the bandwagon, that is so old get over it.

If it wasn't for Bob there'd be no Batman period.

i think that might even be cool if that was supposed to happen, if they do it right :) nice idea

I think Morrison's run is turning out to be pretty meh, even bordering on crap.

I agree. I'm not feeling this arc from Morrison. It's sad since I've been anticipating his return.

On the other hand, Mad Monk is awesome.
