The Dark Knight Batman ARG archive project?

Did anybody of you actually tried to make web archive from this viral game?

When 42E was making ARG for the upcoming relase of new Nine Inch Nails record, YEAR ZERO, fans of it made marvelous job tracking down all the sites, ripping them along with every single part of the game, like phone calls etc and then made it public via various downloads pages, like torrent or media fire.
It was amazing, because everytime you liked to check out this awesome game, you could simply open offline pages on the harddrive and read through many documents, listen to the audio files and on and on. With all respect to creators of batmanwiki (you collected stunning amount of information!), offline pages along with descripted every gig or happening is much more better.

Is anybody interested in ripping all the pages to the hard drive, edit html's to work properly offline and then publish it as a torrent avaible for community for example? I'm ready to help!

I think that would be actually a great idea.

The problem now is: all sites are changed now, they made it all that Joker mess, which was great.

In my opinion, it was counterproductive to make it in gothamtimes though, I mean, we had already the hahahatimes as a version modified by the Joker, now we have only one version, which kinda sucks. Don't get me wrong, I love what they are doing, but I would prefer, particularly in thegothamtimes.com the original version along with the hahahatimes version. Now we have only one version though...:csad:

give it time it may all clear up...
whith the cloverfield virals all the sites were normal (like the batman viral sites were before the joker) and a week before the movie hit theaters the sites were "under constuction" or "banned by US goverment"...
once people heard of the marketing they wanted to see the site and not the after math so another week went by and all the sites were back to normal...
this maybe what 42 will do or maybe not who knows... so if you are going to do this (Batman ARG archive project) get all the joker stuff now before it possibly gets restored...

"banned by US goverment", lol!

I hope you're right.
Regarding the Joker stuff, there's (at least some part of it) posted here already:

:joker::up:

When the latest WSS site went up with the Joker's checklist summary I went around and saved images of all the sites: the games, my submissions pages for RDK, GCN and IDIHD, photos (leaked and legit), Wiki pages, e-mails I received, posters, toy images, Philly hunt pics, Joker card scans etc. as well as the Jokerized versions of the sites that just went up yesternight.

I want to burn it all on a CD (after I organize it) and save it with the rest of my ARG stuff.

BUT, I would love it if someone could do it also...my organizational skills aren't what they should be. :woot:

You're an archive in yourself, good work!

You think Anita might be able/want to?

I also have a huge folder full of picture archives of every website (Jokerized and normal), mp3s, videos, etc.

I did try to work on an archive, but after going through a Year Zero one I found today, I gave up.

I think that somebody could do a really good job with this, just not me. But, I would love to help out.

Its great to hear that guys! i hope you'll share it with weverybody! I'm starting downloading pages and editing them to work offline, because i have feeling they will change to normal after 17th July.
some are really hard to rip - gothamtimes was for example, swf file was hidden so well i couldn't find it.

Let's make it happen! Lets make batman archive in year zero style! :)
