Batman: Arkham City

But you havent seen Dick, Jason or Tim either. Why does continuity only matter when it comes to Damian?

But you havent seen Dick, Jason or Tim either. Why does continuity only matter when it comes to Damian?

Because, unlike the three of them, Damian is Bruce's biological son, and the non-comic book reading gamers might think, "What the hell? Batman has a son? Did I miss something?".

im gonna get roasted by you guys but i dont care.
sure having Selena as a dual character is awesome and she is well done graphicly . i wish atleast they could have given my beloved J and HQ a shot at their own independent playable story . :woot::woot::woot:

An online ad has leaked an appearance by the Boy Wonder in extra content for ‘Arkham City,’ but fans will have to pre-order the game to unlock him.

It ain’t easy being a sidekick. No matter how hard you work, or how much personal trauma you overcome, the superhero always gets the headlines, or in the case of Batman: Arkham City, the video game. But according to an offer posted on Best Buy’s website and in one of the retailer’s flyers, those who pre-order the game will be able to unlock a playable version of Batman’s trusty accomplice Robin for two challenge maps.

The online promotion advertising unlockable downloadable content allowing players to embody the Boy Wonder in Arkham City hasn’t been confirmed by the developers just yet, but the hopes of comic book fans everywhere have already been raised.

Whether Best Buy jumped the gun or was given faulty information to begin with, it seems likely that while Robin may not be joining Batman on his more-than-lengthy singleplayer campaign, the crimson kid will be giving players a new character with which to tackle some challenge maps.
The ad doesn’t state if the challenge maps in question are included with the pre-order or will ship with the retail version. But for Batman fans, the only thing that matters is that after being snubbed by Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy and Rocksteady Studios’ Arkham Asylum, Robin is finally being given some much-deserved attention.
Arkham Asylum fans are likely still reeling from having Catwoman confirmed as playable in Arkham City‘s campaign, and while Robin’s forms of traversal may not be as different from Batman’s as hers, you won’t hear us complaining. Simply being able to see a Robin design as dark and gritty as that of Arkham City is impossible to resist, especially given the tragic history of everyone to bear the mantle.
Batman-Arkham-City-Pre-Order-Robin.jpg

Some skeptics may see the addition of Robin to challenge maps as a cop-out, or simply a fan service for those demanding to see Robin alongside some of the Dark Knight’s greatest villains. But Rocksteady has given fans plenty of reasons to trust their decisions, and if Robin appears in challenge maps with unique animations, lines of dialogue, or even character-specific ways of traversing Crime Alley, it could be hinting further involvement in the future of the game series.
That could mean anything from DLC featuring or centered around Robin post-release, or even a chance for co-op in whatever game comes after Arkham City in the franchise, should Rocksteady decide to make one. We won’t get our co-op hopes up, but depending on the nature of the still-unannounced appearance of Robin in Arkham City, it could be a possibility.
What do you think of the idea of a playable Robin in the Arkham series? Think it’s an inevitability, or something that should be avoided at all costs?
Batman: Arkham City is scheduled for a release on Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 18, 2011.

MARK IS NOT LEAVING THE BAT-FRANCHISE .. it was all misquoted .

Article : http://gamerant.com/batman-arkham-city-mark-hamill-joker-cj-90854/

or just unspoil

HONESTLY everytime i watch RED HOOD , i cant get into BENDER BEING JOKER ..the least they could have done was give us a guy who sounded like him
dont get me wrong , REDHOOD was a great movie , well written but UGH... joker has been my guy since middle school.
BenderJOKER = FAIL in my book anyway

i cant imagine anyother actor taking the place of Mark in the AA series.

It appears as though the rumors surrounding Mark Hamill’s retirement from playing The Joker after ‘Batman: Arkham City’ were greatly exaggerated.
Mark-Hamill-Not-Done-Playing-The-Joker.jpg
Whenever a particular role is played by multiple actors, people will often argue over who played it best. The Joker is no exception, particularly because of all the different takes on the character. Over the years, you have seen Cesar Romero’s over-the-top goofy clown, Jack Nicholson’s wild psychopath, and Heath Ledger’s dangerous criminal. And then you have Mark Hamill, who did the voice of the character in the animated series and, most recently, in Batman: Arkham Asylum and its upcoming sequel, Batman: Arkham City.
If you’re a fan of the Jedi Knight turned voice actor, don’t worry: rumors saying that this would be his last time in the role have been proven to be untrue by the man himself.

On Hamill’s Twitter account, he was asked by a fan if he was really going to stop playing the Joker after Batman: Arkham City. Hamill replied that he never said he would be done with Joker after this, only that Arkham City was so good that it would be hard to top. This tells us that we’ll be seeing more from Hamill as the Clown Prince of Crime, but in what medium is still unknown. In addition to Hamill’s Joker, Batman: Arkham City will include appearances from The Riddler, Catwoman, and Robin.
Perhaps Hamill’s tweet means that there will be another game
following Arkham City. That seems to be the common fan theory, considering the subject matter surrounding the question Hamill was asked. After all, Rocksteady has hinted in the past that they’d be willing to make the series a trilogy, though what would happen next game can only be speculated upon. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean that there will be another game, as this could just as easily mean Hamill will be playing the character somewhere else.
Do you think this means that another game will follow Arkham City? Where will Hamill play The Joker in the future, if not in a new game? Leave any thoughts you may have in the comments below.
Batman: Arkham City comes to the Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 18, 2011.

I would like him to have more hair but good design overall. So... what's the difference between this thread andthis one?

It would be a bit better if they kept the circle around the r, more hair, and the patches.
It looks realistic but they could've kept the overall look more. Like Batman. But it still is nice.

for your viewing pleasure. it's probably going to look something like this - maybe a little more detailed in the differing colors though. maybe some green?

I think the overall design is pretty good. I think this is the best way to incorporate him into the game as a playable character.

so hes only used in challenge maps?

Well that's a little disappointing, I'd like to play the story using him

The most intriguing thing is that it's Tim Drake, which means Dick is Nightwing.

Maybe I'm looking too deeply into things, but when I went to watch the new high quality, commentary-less version of the Arkham City gameplay footage today, the painting that I thought nothing of last time suddenly jumped out at me:

Anyone wanna start putting bets on that being a Riddler riddle you have to scan?

Or maybe it's a hint at a particular villain being in the game..?

Either way, that has to be a reference. I like it a lot..

"You a fan?"
"No."

Of course Batman isn't your fan! He's only a fan of breaking bones in the name of justice. :D

That gameplay looks amazing. Waiting until October just got even more difficult...

Looks like Ra's Al Ghul is going to be the main villain in the game....that's actually awesome.

- Strange went abroad for awhile.
- People think he's working with Joker (red herring)
- Strange just "gets" the job as the head doctor at Arkham City (Ra's has that much influence).
- They are bleeping out a project or phrase that Batman is investigating that probably has a linguistic connection to Ra's or the middle east, etc....

Just my two-cents... I'm definitely looking too far into it....but probably not far off.

I am ridiculously stoked for this game. I was wondering if they were going to incorporate Robin. LOVE the fact Selina is a playable character.

I haven't looked yet, but is the voice of Two Face in the game the same as Harvey from TAS? He's got almost the same grit to his voice.

No, it's not Richard Moll, but the actor does sound a lot like his Two Face. I love how he alternates between his Harvey voice and his Two Face voice when he's talking.

That's the only thing I wanted them to do for Aaron Eckhart in TDK, switch between voices. I think this design for Harvey is perfect.
