Batman: Arkham City

You get to fight Riddler this time in some form.

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but is anyone else reading the prequel comic series? It's pretty good in my opinion, with some really good art :woot:

What's your favourite issue so far?

As of yet, I think it might be the third issue, [BLACKOUT]with Batman going undercover and infiltrating both Joker and Penguin's gangs[/BLACKOUT]. I really enjoy how it's following up on the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum, with the guards that want revenge on Joker for their dead friends, for example.

Personally, my favourite so far has been issue 2. Don't get me wrong, I really like the others, but issue 2 just seems to deal with the fallout from the first game a bit more, which I think is a really cool idea.

I still need to read the Arkham books; they looked good from what I saw. Anybody know what the deal is with the metal thing on Penguin's neck? I hope he doesn't sound like Steven Hawking. :oldrazz:

Penguin footage has been seen, and reports state he does not have a Stephen Hawking voice lol.

Has it been seen with our eyes, or has it yet been released?

Perhaps it's from his smoking then. :oldrazz:

He also appears to be using the bottom of a Coke bottle for a monacle. Maybe The Penguin is just nuts in AC.

But I thought that the Penguin wasn't considered insane in the comics or TV shows, just ugly and looking like a penguin?

Has not been officially released to everyone. It was shown at one of those game conventions that all the game companies attend with the fans.

They released descriptions of the scene in the game where you first meet Penguin and what happens. His base is in the Gotham Natural History Museum. He has a huge arsenal of weaponry. He's a twisted kind of collector. He's got men in cages. When you first meet him he shoots with with his umbrella gun that tries to escape.

He refused to leave his establishments when Quincy Sharpe tried to evict him to build Arkham City. Sharpe then sent men in to try and force Penguin to leave but Penguin killed them all.

So Sharpe just fenced Penguin into Arkham City. Now Penguin is one of the major factions in AC trying to take control of it. He's got a turf war going with Joker and Two Face. Each of them are trying to take over AC.

I'm not sure about the Penguin, he looks okay with his hat but I'm not sure from the trailer, I think its the voice its too victorian cockney for me.

I just figured since Penguin was a criminal, and they couldn't send him to Blackgate, that was why he was in Arkham City. I assume they explain he stayed there himself in the comic?

I hope the Predator Challenge rooms don't have poor choices for the goals as some did in Batman: Arkham Asylum. No to anything that requires me to get on top of a booby-trapped gargoyle in Extreme challenges, no asking me to both punch three armed henchmen and complete the same challenge without taking any damage.

I love Batman - But I think Superman needs a game with this much love and care.

No it's just my little hope that they're working on a Superman game to get old blue back in the spotlight. :yay:
