    Hey Yo,

Some of you might have seen the Batman Elimination games that Doc Ock started and that I have since taken over. Basically, there's a list of Batman-themed choices and you vote until there's one left. They're pretty fun and a good, non-spam way to up that post count.

In order to generate ideas for future rounds, this thread is for everyone to post suggestions for themes and choices they'd be interested in. Feel free to make any suggestion, but the theme Round 40 - should be expansive enough so that we can get at least 10 choices.

Up to this point, we've had the following rounds (winners noted in parentheses):

Round 1 - Villains From the Comics (The Joker)
Round 2 - Supporting Characters (Cassandra Cain)
Round 3 - Graphic Novels/Trade Paperbacks (The Long Halloween)
Round 4 - Batman Interpretations (Batman: The Animated Series Batman)
Round 5 - Costumes (Batman Begins Version)
Round 6 - Batman on Screen (Batman: The Animated Series)
Round 7 - Villains From the Comics, Part 2 (Lady Shiva)
Round 8 - Villains From Batman: The Animated Series (The Joker)
    Round 9 - Writers (Denny O'Neil)
Round 10 - Women of Batman (Harley Quinn)
Round 11 - Batmobiles (Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile)
Round 12 - Live Actions Villains (Liam Neeson as Ra's al Ghul)
Round 13 - Artists (Tim Sale)
Round 14 - Graphic Novels/Trade Paperbacks: The Second Coming (The Dark Knight Returns)
Round 15 - Top Two Finishers Elimination (Batman: The Animated Series [Character Interpretation])
Round 16 - Episodes of Batman: The Animated Series (Mad Love)
Round 17 - Best Character in Succession (Tim Drake as Robin)
Round 18 - Best Story Arc (Knightfall)
Round 19 - Best Film (Batman Begins)
Round 20 - Best Video Game (Batman Returns)
Round 21 - Best Elseworlds Tale (Batman: Gotham by Gaslight)
Round 22 - Best Bat-Family Story (Huntress: Cry For Blood)
Round 23 - Most Significant Moment (Bane Breaking Batman's Back)
Round 24 - Personal Contributions to the Mythos (Bruce Timm/Paul Dini/Kevin Conroy)
Round 25 - Notable Quotes (From Batman Begins: "People need dramatic examples...")
Round 26 - Villains From Batman: The Animated Series, Part 2 (The Phantasm/Andrea Beaumont)
Round 27 - Gotham City Locations (Arkham Asylum)
    Round 28 - Past Eliminations #2 (Denny O'Neil)
    Round 29 - Batman-Themed JL/JLU Episode (A Better World)
    Round 30 - Signature Item (Batsuit/Cape & Cowl)
    Round 31 - Defining Characteristic/Element (Intimidation Factor)
Round 32 - Best Relationship (Bruce Wayne/Alfred Pennyworth)

I was thinking of doing his vehicles or his gadgets. But I don't think he has that huge a variety of either to merit their own round....

Haha, I e-mailed Doc Ock about this earlier and he told me Mister J would do one; awesome.

We can get some ideas from the threads 100% similar to this one in Superman World and Spidey-World and stuff...heck in Spidey-World they are already up to Round 20.

Which ones you think would work for Batman ones? Of course small details would have to change to make it work for Bats.

Story arcs would be good, or favorite Bat-family comic, best team-up/crossover, supporting bat-cast (nightwing, robin, batgirl,azrael,gordon,alfred,etc..)

Since the Batmobile would likely dominate any vehicle list, I had a thought. I just came across this site (http://www.batmobilehistory.com/index.html). It's a pretty comprehensive listing of nearly every Batmobile ever, including images. We could get a list of the most recognizable ones (through comics, TV, movies). Just through TV or movies, that's a list of about 8 or so. Tossing in a few comic versions could round the list out.

For another round, there are other vehicles (Batplane, Bat-gyro, Batboat, etc.) that a list of around 10 could be made. Those might harder to dig up some pictures on.

Gadgets is a bit trickier. The variety is there, but I'm not sure how feasible they are. I'm listing these out of the Batman Ultimate Guide. I'm sure there are probably others.

    1. Grapnel
    2. Bat-Cuffs
    3. Gas Pellets
    4. Bat-Grenades
    5. Bat-Bolas
    6. Mini-Batarang (shuriken)
    7. In-Flight Steerable Batarang
    8. Hard Impact Batarang
    9. Cutting Batarang
    10. Spinning Batarang

Suggestions, additions or improvements to any of these are appreciated.

I just got a good idea.

This could be like sort of in the system the X-Men Elimination rounds goes by...in parts:

We could choose like a certain number (not too high) of villains choose which Graphic Novel was their best role. After the end of each part we have one huge final round where each go against eachother.

    Ex:
One round- (Obviously have several against eachother at once)
Scarecrow in As the Crow Flies Vs. Scarecrow in Haunted Knight
Final round- (Maybe the same or have semi-finals and then have final with one versus the other)
Scarecrow in Haunted Knight Vs. Two-Face in The Long Halloween

    Get it?

I think something like that would be really cool. If you need better explaining of what I am talking about just ask..I know I do not always explain stuff clearly.

These are the best complete scans I could get; the book is way oversized. Clicking on the thumbnails gives a good full-size view of the pages if the larger pics aren't visible enough. There are a few on there I didn't list beforehand (Blow Gun, Aerosol Spray) but the whole page is fair game.

Ooh, me likes. I say that one should be the next one. Even if you try to say "so and so will win cause of popularity" you are right but in this case there are several ones like that. Very good choice man.

    Good stuff, Captain Stacy.

That gave me an idea for Girlfriends/Love Interests

    Julie Madison
    Silver St. Cloud
    Vesper Fairchild
    Vicki Vale
    Talia al Ghul
    Selina Kyle
    Shondra Kinsolving
    Kathy Kane
    Sasha Bordeaux
    Pamela Isley (I know...it's primarily phermone-induced, but there's some tension there and I needed a 10th.)

Villains from the 1966 film and the theatrical releases:

    The Joker (Cesar Romero)
    The Penguin (Burgess Meredith)
    Catwoman (Lee Meriwether)
    The Riddler (Frank Gorshin)
    Max Shreck (Christopher Walken)
    Bane (Jeep Swenson)
    Carmine Falcone (Tom Wilkinson)
    Victor Zsasz (Tim Booth)

    The Joker (Jack Nicholson)
    The Penguin (Danny Devito)
    Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer)
    Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones)
    The Riddler (Jim Carrey)
    Mr. Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger)
    Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman)
    Ra's al Ghul (Liam Neeson)
    The Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy)

I split them into groups (66 movie/lesser villains, major villains) in case we wanted to make two shorter rounds instead of a round with 17 choices.

I like it cause it is a classic but man is Adam West's acting bad as Batman. Lol the character has evolved so much since that movie and era.

    Villains from the Animated Series:

    Bane
    Catwoman
    Clayface
    The Joker
    Killer Croc
    The Mad Hatter
    Man-Bat
    Mr. Freeze
    The Penguin
    Poison Ivy
    Ra's al Ghul
    The Riddler
    The Scarecrow
    Two-Face
    The Ventriloquist & Mr. Scarface

    The Clock King (Temple Fugate)
    Firefly
    Harley Quinn
    Hugo Strange
    The Judge
    Kyodai Ken (Ninja)
    Lyle Bolton (Lock-Up)
    Mary Louise Dahl (Baby Doll)
    The Phantasm (Andrea Beaumont)
    Professor Milo
    Red Claw
    Roland Daggett
    Rupert Thorne
    Talia al Ghul
    Tony Zucco

There may be a couple of others. There's like 30 of them as is. We could break them up by status/importance or something or just eliminate some flat out. It seems like we could get some good games out of the lesser characters though.

I threw him in there just to be holistic. We can eliminate or split choices up when we decide what theme we want for that round.

That is a huge list. Someone did their homework.

And with that list we could do what I proposed earlier about semi-final rounds and what not but change it up or something.
