I guess this means Mark Hamill will be reprising the role of Joker. Would love Tara Strong to reprise the role of Babs too.

Wouldn't it be awesome if they used the old animated series as the stylistic approach for this film. (They won't, but I would love them too)

This is awesome news. Hamill is aching to do TKJ. Has been for years. This is his wish come true.

They'll have to pad the story out a bit because I don't think the content of the GN would fill up 70 or so minutes.

Good point! I could see them adding in some Batgirl action in the beginning of the film to heighten the impact of the scene where she is paralyzed.

I still don't think the movie will be appealing to the masses, since it is just Joker narrating and the story can be done in max 30 minutes tops.

So next year DC animated has 3 Batman movies coming out: Batman: Bad Blood, the Killing Joke and Adam West Batman movie.

The thing that offends me about TKJ is that Len Wein approved Moore's plans for Barbara by saying "Cripple the *****." Nothing in the book itself.

And it was the same thing when people made controversy when Arkham City came out about the thugs using the B-word.

I'm sorry, but I thought villains were supposed to be awful? If they had heroes using those terms, maybe I'd see a point.... but what the Joker does in TKJ is horrifying and evil.... because he IS evil! You're not supposed to like what he does!

And to be honest, because of the evolution into Oracle (which gave her way more to do than she ever had as Batgirl up to that point), I think what happened in TKJ was a necessary tragedy.

Ups I was wrong. We're getting JL vs. Titans movie, I guess the Adam West Batman movie isn't part of the DC DTV line, perhaps it's like those children movies.

People on twitter are already going crazy over this. Perhaps, after the recent Joker/Barbara cover controversy, it wasn't the most opportune moment to announce this.

I was never a huge fan of the original book, but it was decent with some excellent art.

Bottom line... Make sure Bruce Timm is guiding this, with Conroy and Hamill reprising their respective roles and I'm all in.
