Ok, here is a staged photo where they are both supposedly the same distance away from the camera. And Superman again looks... the same height as bats. I remember this being a big deal to people this time last year. I for one never liked the idea of Kal being shorter than Bruce but I got over it quickly. But this is looking like the comics and I like it.

Except they weren't shot together. This is a composited image, so such comparisons are moot.

He looks to be slouching in 100% of the images we've seen and the trailer.

Ben is 6Ft 4, Henry is 6Ft 1, Batman is taller, get over it people

Ben is taller but his Batman doesn't look to be. Movie magic sand all that jazz.

If that's the case, and I'm sure you're right, then this is how they wanted them to look. And in this image Batman doesn't "tower" over Superman like the producer claimed they wanted.

No one involved with the production has said that Batman is supposed to tower over Superman. I don't know where some of you are getting that from. Snyder likes the idea of Superman looking up to Batman - literally - but that doesn't mean that they were going for a dramatically huge difference in height.

And for what it's worth, Batman isn't standing up straight in the above photograph, so you probably shouldn't use it to judge whether or not he's actually taller than Superman.

If that's the case, and I'm sure you're right, then this is how they wanted them to look. And in this image Batman doesn't "tower" over Superman like the producer claimed they wanted.

"They," in this case, would be the EW staff, NOT the filmmakers.

Also, the individual images were not taken with the forethought of composting them together, as we can tell by the fact that the camera angles were not all identical.
From his shoulders, we can see that Superman was shot from a slightly lower angle, where as Batman was shot with the camera closer to eye level.

This also affects how the images can be composited, in regards to size, and alignment.

Exactly. That's what I've been saying for a while now. Both Roven and Snyder said that they wanted Superman to look a bit up to Batman, but they didn't say that Batman is supposed to tower over him. That's the conclusion that people on the internet came to.

Well, we all know Gal isnt that tall, even considering the photo was most likely taken from an upward angle, so Im sure some resizing of the characters was done. And the photo credit is Clay Enos, Snyders guy, so the characters are being shown the way Snyder wants. Im guessing they provided all photos to EW for their spread.

Also, the EW cover Superman and the rooftop Superman are actually very different- lighting, angle, and body poisition are all different. Both were taken by Clay Enos though, so they could have been taken dyring the same shoot. I bet that man has tons of other great shots that are just sitting on a computer ssomewhere...

Oh im not saying Gal isnt tall, just not how they were showing in that cover shot...but your point of her wearing heels is well taken. With that in mind, this could have been a group shot. It could have been taken the day Clay was laying under that sheet taking photos...who knows!

In this photo she was wearing heels. Cavill is a good 3-4 inches taller still. Either she's around 5 ft 8 or Cavill is actually 6 ft 2.

5'8 is still tall for a woman, but I don't actually think she is 5'10. With the Wonder Wedges she will still look taller, so no reason to freak out if she isn't the height people had hoped.
