His character could be wheelchair bound?

Doom Patrol confirmed

1.) Maybe, just maybe his legs will indeed be removed in post because they were crushed during the destruction scene filmed last week.

2.) You don't have to put green on your legs to convert it into super-speed in post production. Just look at behind the scenes clips of Quicksilver on Days of future past and Avengers.

He'll end up being some minor character created for the movie. He was on set during those destruction chase scenes right? He'll probably end up being someone who was injured during the thing and goes before some court hearing to give his testimony/side of the story.

I'd love to be wrong, but I've seen too many people who are recognizable cast in an untitled role that just turns out to be nothing. I remember the guy in TDKR who was cast and pretty much just threw that grenade down the manhole, I believe he was from Stargate or something, but everyone had crazy theories when his casting was announced.

You are so right. He really is Lieutenant Dan. The easiest explanation is he's an amputee, testifying before a congressional hearing about the destruction of Metropolis. Holly Hunter is supposed to be a senator, right?

While you don't need to have special effects on your legs to show super speed (if he is the Flash) this will be the fourth time someone who runs fast is shown (2 Quicksilvers 1 TV Flash) so they may try to show it differently.

^^^^ Nice!!!
It could also be Flash costume as some fellas said above.... or the speed effect.

My immediate reaction was "The Flash!" but he really could be anyone. That photo tells us so much, and so little at the same time.

Nearly three months after we first heard Batman V Superman would be filming scenes at Nicholson Terminal & Dock Company, crews have finally been spotted at the location.
Those telltale CCP crew signs have been spotted around the site and set construction is reportedly underway. Though, there is still no word exactly when filming begin at Nicholson, located at 60 E Great Lakes St, River Rouge, MI.

The facility is no stranger to the big screen. In recent years it has also been used for Transformers 4, The Double, Real Steel, and Kill the Irishman.
Today, Batman V Superman was also spotted filming at the Old Wayne County Building in Detroit. If you have any news about Batman V Superman filming, discuss it all with other fans in our BVS OPEN THREAD.
Thanks to Jeff for the tip!

Yup. Dat.

No specific plot details or spoilers, but some updates on what we can expect in terms of visuals for superpowers in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice. There are tests already being done to coincide with Justice League as well, because production will likely be moving much faster on the next installment. The current visual effects team is working on new powers that were not displayed in Man of Steel, as well as updates to previous powers that were seen. One of the new characters is going to push the limits of Superman’s speed, and there are a multitude of different types of effects being tested to show different types of “speed moments” There is a test in showing a vibration effect where the character almost seems to disappear.

Another test shot has a buildup of wind, ice, and debris which move in a tornado formation around a growing blur that outlines the characters body. Also there is a speed effect similar to bullet time to show more of a superhero perspective, where the audience sees how time and speed are slowed down the faster that the character moves. I immediately thought of old scenes from Spiderman and episodes of Smallville but have been promised while it is meant to demonstrate the same perspective; it will incorporate a lot of effects for surrounding objects as well.

In one of the test shots for example, a ball is being thrown and the character sees it spinning slowly. As the character speeds up, the ball slows down more but still moves. Everything around the character is still moving. Eventually as full speed is realized the ball is almost to a complete stop and bright glowing bolts (kind of like lightning) start to appear and the rest of the environment is paused. The ball is grabbed by the character, and just as it is grabbed we see movement beginning to happen again, and the bolts start disappearing.

Snyder is asking the team to really push for new ways of showing speed. An assistant stated at a meeting that Snyder said pretty much word for word “ I want jaws to f***ing drop. It’s time to shake up the balance of realism, and add a bit of wow factor. People are paying money to see these super powered beings in all their glory. It has to look awesome, better than anything they have ever seen in any superhero movie. Look at the competition (Avengers), we will have characters doing things that they can’t do. It’s gotta be shown and blow people away…”

if scoot is not an important character, then why not saying what is his role? Mhmmm

Yup. Dat.

If that article is legit there is nothing that could be other than the Flash.

That pic of Scoot is interesting, about 70% sure his character is gonna be wheelchair bound for at least a portion of the film.

He could be important, but that doesn't mean he's Flash or some other major character. He could just be someone who gets robotic legs after the destruction and is called to testify in some court proceeding or maybe he lost his legs and is called to testify in some other court proceeding regarding Superman or whatever. Who knows. I just think a bunch of people are setting themselves up for disappointment.

Again, I point to the dude who was cast a couple weeks into the filming of TDKR who was on Stargate or whatever. His role was never given and people had crazy theories about who his character was and what he'd do in the film. The final result? He threw a grenade down a manhole and pushed JGL down.

Because the studio doesn't have to officially announce EVERY supporting character in a movie.
But an actor of that caliber... It's a little weird.

Do you really think they'll misuse McNairy's talent for a short and not-important role? I don't think so. but that's me.

what with the robe? is it to cover the suit so fan who might take photos do not see it?

Again, look at the Nolan films for actors with talent taking small supporting roles. You may be right when the dust settles. We'll just have to wait and see.

Cavill looks awesome.

He also looks so similar to Affleck there.

Yep, They did the same thing with Man of Steel. Except Russel Crowe did forget to put on his robe when he went outside.
