Those black and white strips are to track his motion and replace with CGI Arms/Legs. If his legs were going to be CGI replacements they would have the same thing.

2.) He's someone who has gotten his legs stuck under rubble and when Superman lifts it off of him his legs are completely mangled and whatnot.

I don't get where people are getting flash from? I don't get that guess at all. I'm not a visual effects wiz but I don't see how what he is wearing points to flash more than say Metallo or just somebody without legs.

Sometimes Hollywood does silly things like that: they create a character who starts out as an invalid and endow him/her with special abilities to contrast said condition. Some audiences actually eat that crap up. "Look, Mildred! Before he had no legs; and now.. just look at him go!"

That said, I still don't see him as Flash.

I don't really care about the V-shaped hairline, but that the hairstyle itself isn't good. His hair in MOS was better.

The only possible reason I can see them doing this is to perhaps in some way try to separate his Clark look from Superman, otherwise it just looks...off, to me anyway.
