Batman vs. Two Face '66 Animated Film (2017)

I was a fan of 66 show as a kid. Of course its silly today and have no interest in watching it again... So I didnt know what to expect in this animated feature, but the MAIN reason I watched it was 5 words - William Shatner as Two Face. That is such a perfect casting choice.

I wonder what it would have been like if Shatner was Harvey in 66. Or Robert Redford as Harvey Dent in 66.

But anyway, I thought it would be terrible and cheesy, but Holy Crap - I loved this one. I was entertained from beginning to end. My only complaint is the voice actors cant sound like they are 40 years younger. So esp Catwoman does sound like an 80 yr old woman. But Shatner was GREAT. And Shatner did two voices, the good and bad, so that was fun. Shatner gave a great voice performance.

The story was intentionally silly and I dug the style a lot. The two face syndrome over gotham and infected Robin - silly and dumb, but it was made that way, so it came across as fun.

I liked it a lot. I guess I'll check out the first one now.

Yeah, I got around to seeing this for the first time this past Saturday and enjoyed it. Shatner and the whole voice cast were great. It's unfortunate that this will be the last animated adventure based on the 60s show. If West was still alive and well I wouldn't had mind seeing more animated adventures based on his show (either direct to video or animated series). However, I'm grateful for what we got.

This movie was a lot of fun. I appreciate that, while Two-Face's origin, his plot, and a lot of the events in the movie are just as campy and silly as the show itself, the actual conflict and drama between Bruce/Batman and Harvey/Two-Face was played straight. It gave a serious edge to it that didn't betray the tone of the show.

My only complaints are the fact that Hugo Strange just disappears from the story after his role is done, and the fact that the bonus Harley Quinn scene was restricted only to the Blu Ray version.
