THEY WOULD BE REALLY SCRAPING THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL IF THEY MADE A BATTLEFIELD 1776

Not if you did it Mel Gibson's Patriot style. Have militias that bombard events and whatnot instead of a straight forward muzzle-to-muzzle shootout. Throwing tomahawks would be cool as well in between loading your muzzle.

Plus, I was just thinking that if they keep going into the future the franchise may turn into something like Tribes.
