Battlefield 1943 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

:whatever: Yes, how dare I enjoy playing the game I bought. Especially this one which is a Live only game.

Yes how dare you go into a team based game in which communication only helps. Like i said, i can understand if someone is being *****ey, but to go into a game without the intent to communicate to anyone is, imo, stupid.

Oh well tho, iv given up with this game. A few more of my buddies bought the game so we just party up and thats enough communication for me.

You enjoy talking and planning everything out. I enjoy going lone wolf. I just want to play.

Either way is fine, I don't know why you feel the need to call what I'm doing stupid. You're the kind of person that takes this **** too seriously.

Well iv said before I'm pretty competitive, i don't enjoy losing, at anything. However i don't mind if I'm in a game and everyone is working together and we come up short, I'm better with that than being in a game where no one is working together and everyone is doing their own thing and we get beat, that irks the holy ish outta me. Iv always been an extrovert tho, i don't have a problem talking to ppl, i quite enjoy it.

Well you can take solace that if I'm ever on your team, I may not be communicating or with the group, but when you see that flag on the other end of the island turn blue, you'll know it's me. :word:

Hah, and thats fine man, as long as you know what ur doing, you dont have to say a word. But the ones who are just jumping into planes or riding off in a vehicle without anyone in that vehicle and really not helping anyone but themselves and on top of that not saying anything, yea those ppl really, really irk me.

Funny thing is they end up being the first to die in most cases. I've been right next to vehicles and the guy will jump in and take off. Honk the horn or something if you don't want to wait so that people know you want to leave.

I get on a plane and parachute out over one of the flags. :o

It's true

^Haha. It's always satisfying when you spawn near a plane and get in it before the guy who's been doing nothing but waiting on it.

Same here. Great way to establish an early lead.

Haha i hate that. I hate seeing ppl just standing around waiting for a vehicle to spawn when they could be doing more.

Iv done the same, jump out of a plane to capture a flag but i dont do it often as its just a waste of a plane. Im much more effective staying in the air. I played a game last night where i was able to get into a plane quite early and stayed in it the whole game. I was basically a one man, tank busting crew. I must have destroyed 10 or so tanks throughout the game. Those things are deadly against tanks. I wish more ppl would use em that way.

Was playing it last night.
Brought back very fond memories of BF1942.

Eagerly looking forward to getting to play more.

I'm tired of people spawn camping bases or using planes to shoot down your plane as you are trying to take off. The enemies recieve no points but do it just to be total d***heads. Anyone else experiencing this? Its slowly making me not want to play this game anymore. It also tends to be all the high level people that do this.

Yeah there's a lot of spawn killing go around. Hopefully EA releases a patch so you don't spawn at a base that is currently being taken over by 17 enemies.

yeah i dont like that either...happened too often when I played last....until i figured out how to pick where I spawn

One thing iv learned from playing the console versions of Battlefield is the community is always filled with *****, much more so than other titles. Maybe its just the nature of the game? I don't know. The other night i was playing Air Superiority and like 2 or 3 ppl on the other team would just land on our carrier and either try and kill us before we got to our planes or would just keep blowing our planes up before we got there. This wouldn't have bothered me so much if it was a full game but we only had like 3 ppl to their 4. I guess their intention was to keep us from gaining superiority by not allowing us to get in the air. I also cant play a full game without someone, instead of trying to capture a base, just sits on top of a hill sniping as ppl spawn up at that base.

As for shooting a plane before it takes off, i feel thats a good strategy because if you know what you are doing(which most ppl don't in this game) the planes can be extremely dangerous. I rather shoot someone down before they get airborne then have to risk them being an ace or a skilled tank buster. I'm not saying camp the base, but if you are flying towards an enemies base and see someone taking off, it'd be stupid to let him get in the air. More often than not they'll suck at flying and crash 3 seconds into their flight, but every now and then you'll come across a dude who can do mad damage to a team with one of those planes.

A played a game a few nights ago, where my entire team quit out and it was me vs. like 11 people. They all just hounded the airship and I couldn't do anything, lol. 3 planes were harassing me, boats were on either sides shooting at the anti-airplane guns, and an occasional parachuter would land on the ship. Even if I managed to take off in a plane I wouldn't get very far.

Problem is when you can't pick a destination other than your base where enemies keep spawning to take you out and you have no other captured points it becomes a problem.

I agree and thats fine but it was clear the guy was camping our base. I got in the anti-air guns to see if I could take him out and he made the same manuevers over and over again. Problem was he was never in range so I couldn't fix the problem.

Yea i feel ya on that. I hate that mess. Iv been in a few games where the enemy planes sole goal was to keep us from getting in the air. They succeded in doing that but lost overall.

I have been playing the plane only level have gotten fairly good at it - although my score does seem to depend on the rest of my team - I finished top every game with about 300 points for about 4 or 5 games - the next day however I was still finishing top of my team but only with about 90 points :(

I have done pretty good by just being on the anti aircraft guns before too (2nd most times I think)

what really upsets me is when I have a noob on my team and as soon as we spawn he starts attacking me

I don't think that's a problem with 'noobs'. It's a problem with idiots who don't really want to play the game, they just want to mess with other people. Noobs are the ones who try but aren't very good.

well its the guys who are on the same team as me and when we all first spawn into a zone they attack not realizing we are all on the same team....i think thats noobs

Haha, but thats not really a big deal, i mean there isn't any friendly fire, so its not like you are taking damage.

i know but its annoying as hell
