there's some B-Roll footage for those who wish to be a little bit 'spoiled'. If you read the Lexi script it shows nothing you didn't know, which leads me to think it wasn't changed very much at all. I'll wait and see tho.

A lot has been made recently of the poor accents. If you watch the clips, Ray's accent definitely slips. i'm english and can definitely hear Ray's geordie twang on occasions. And Julie Benz's acting really made me cringe. I know from behind-the-scenes footage it's gonna look a bit off, but she seems way way off. I hope its been edited well in the film.

I'm remaining hopeful, but i am definitely preparing for some poor acting and accent slips when i get to see it!

yeah the accent slips are definitely there... but most of these movies are dubbed almost 100 percent. its not uncommon for the raw footage to be less than impressive.

if his accent slips too much in the actual movie itd just be lazy on their part.

julie benz is my biggest concern from all that stuff.

Great clips! I'm guessing the part where the punisher threw something across the room is after he killed an F.B.I guy.

Microchip is freaking awesome in that. West's accent doesn't slip at all. From the few scenes in there where Ray Stevenson is talking, yeah, I can see the accent dropping a bit. But from watching the full scene of him at the church, I'm confident that the ADR (post-production dubbing) will fix that. It's more Benz's accent I'm worried about.

New York accents change from block to block, so there is no specific dialect ray needs to hit IMO. I'm a fan of Ray, and I can suspend my disbelief in him being a New Yorker just like I can buy Bob Hoskins laying on a heavy accent to pass as american.

Great B-roll footage, I'm really liking Jigsaw and the whole "James" thing :woot:, giving him a brother was a great idea in my opinion. It was also good to see Microchip talking, really good casting. I really can't wait to see this movie!

I have alot of confidence in this movie now.

just judging by the B-roll footage, this movie looks great!

Yeah, I agree, the whole part where Ink calls him Looney Bin Jim and Jigsaw spins and says "His name is James. No Looney Bin Jim, not LJB, James." Is really intense. I also like it where he tells his brother "James! Be careful." It's going to be a definite plus for the movie, their relationship.

I am also British and familiar with both Ray's and Dominic's native accents, so I was really listening for them, and I can't say I heard them leaking through in those clips. Just my opinion. They quite disappeared into their respective characters!

As for Julie's clip, you're right and I cringed as well - but this is a b-roll so expect better in the finished film.

I agree,Billy and Jimmy relationship is are going to shine:)I call them the gruesome twosome:word:Great clips too!!!

I don't really think Julie is as bad as some people say she is. Sure there was a little bit that seemed a little over dramatic, but it does look like material that is hard to work with. I felt she was being heartfelt with it though.

WayneKerr is right though, an actor relies on the editors the most when it comes to getting their best moments shown.

I really don't like her voice, and I think that's a lot of it for me. She's trying, and she's not doing too bad, I just don't like the tone or the pitch. And her NY accent comes off a little forced to me, but I'm going off one or two lines from the B-reel, so that's nothing to condemn her on. For the record, I actually thought she was decent in the "who punishes you?" clip.

I think Julie will do fine:)But I know that Ray,Doug,Dominic is going to kickass:word:

Yep.The editors are the behind the scenes heros:)

It's not Dominic's that slips. But Ray doesn't sound right sometimes. Listen closely when he says 'For the next time someone gets in your light' and when he says to budiansky 'stay outta my way'. It slips but could easily be covered in editing.

But yeah... Julie Benz is the most worrying factor here
