of all the trailers I saw with Inception, this was the only one i genuinely interested in

No love for Tron? :csad:

How can someone who is such a good director and writer be such a terrible actor?

Kids these days........

This looks pretty good though, great cast.

I don't think Ben is a terrible actor. Yes, he has acted terribly in several movies, but those movies would have been bad no matter who was in them. He has also been quite good when directed well (Hollywoodland, State of Play, Changing Lanes, Good Will Hunting). I think the reason so many people view him as a bad actor is 1. overexposure from the J.Lo thing and 2. poor selection of films. I think that if The Town is as good as it looks, he'll gain some respect back as an actor.

This looks real good, Ill definitely see it the first day of opening.

Aside from feeling like he needs to not get pigeon-holed into directing just films in Boston, The Town looks pretty damn intense. And anything that gives Jeremy Renner more exposure, I'm pretty much all for it.

And I agree, I've never completely disliked Affleck as an actor. He was pretty damn good in State of Play, and I think he's acknowledged that he was a bit overexposed for a time, so it's good, for now, that we haven't seen him in too many films, and now he's picking some pretty decent ones, in addition to being a pretty solid director/writer.

Ben as an actor reminds me of Matthew McConaughey both are good when give the material to work with but both often choose bad roles

I have no idea.

Now is just a international poster, but least is something.

That international one is so much better than this US one

 THey shouldve used the skull masks instead of the nuns. With the nuns it just looks silly

I have no idea.

I go to my grave saying that she's a sh** director too. God, I hate Sofia Coppola.

I wish my dad was one of the greatest directors who ever lived... then I could get critical acclaim for wiping my ass on a film reel.

I think I don't mind using 'photograph' for poster art, as long as it looks nice and simple. The problem here is that the 'names' and 'head shots' make it look so busy.

Mmmmmm... Blake Lively.

I happen to have the book and read a bit, but most of the times I usually read the book before watching the adaptation.
But this time, maybe I'm going to watch the movie before finishing the book.

Do I see Titus Welliver's name on that poster? Is the mother****in' Man in Black going to be in this movie?! :wow::up:

Yeah, I don't think Ben is a bad actor either. It's true that he was in a few stinkers, but other than Gigli (which everyone was bad) and Armageddon (c'mon, it's a Michael Bay movie), his other performances have been more-or-less well-received, even during his Viewaskew days. I have seen the trailer for The Town and Ben looks very good there. I think his biggest hurdle is to change the perception of him as an actor, since people still like to bring up Gigli in the conversation when discussing about him.

Ben is like Matthew McConaughey both would be better if they chose better roles

Actually, Affleck is better than McConaughey right now; Affleck is writing, directing, and even acting in some pretty good movies, while McConaughey seems content in doing romance comedies or just comedies.

Affleck isn't the best actor, but he can be good when given the right direction. Hell, I think I liked him in Daredevil. But I saw that movie last in the theater in 2003. He should stick to directing.
