For me it would be Alucard from the Castlevania series, what's other people's choice?

i'd say Snake, but he's more of a hero than an anti-hero...

...so i'll have to agree with Isildur's Heir.

Sarevok.
Endboss of Baldures Gate, In Baldures Gate II: Throne of Bhall you can have him fight with you and turn him into a good person.

Best anti-hero...Kratos, this not even a question.
I'll have to agree with that one

Those are from comics not video games.I too believe Kratos is the best Anti-hero.

I hope Alex Mercer the character from Prototype turns out ot be as cool as he looks in the trailers, if so, he might turn out to be an awesome anti-hero

Kratos from God of War
Scorpion from Mortal Kombat

Ok i have a better list of the most badass anti heroes

Croc,
Spyro, (he killed sheep just for fun, come on)
pipa fernal (the horse riding woman from the wii)

(no realy Albert Wesker)

I dunno, Snake does the Patriots dirty work in every single MGS game and the Patriot have been portrayed as somewhat villainous.

Its hard to call this character a hero of any kind, but he has done some really bad things to really bad ppl, which in turn kind of equals good things. So I'm gonna say the greatest anti-hero of any video game(not to mention the absolute most bad ass character of any game) is non other than your favorite bald clone assassin, Agent 47.

Nico Bellic. (most relatable, in my opinion)
Snake (if he counts)
Meta-Knight

Kratos is such a forced "badass" that it's unbearable before the first level is out.

I liked Jak. I mean in the 2nd game,
He was basically carrying out the agenda of the main villain so he could get revenge on the Baron. In actuality, the Baron conducted the experiments on Jak for the greater good of the people of Haven, but Jak just wanted to see him dead.

Solid Snake would be considered a hero, not antihero. His father, however...

He's a decorated war hero who does bad things, but has noble intentions and justifiable motivations. I'd say he fits the bill.

1. Kratos (God of War)
2. Scorpion (Mortal Kombat)
3. Kain (Legacy of Kain)
