My vote is for CrossGen's Scion. I started re-reading the first few issues of the series and now I'm hooked again.

My second favorite is probably Warlord. Anyone else have a Sword&Sorcery fave? Conan, Red Sonja, Dragonlance?

Fables. After reading that, I fully admit that Little Boy Blue is the most badass fantasy hero in the history of literature.

Fables is great.

I must say, I enjoyed the hell out of Dragonlance as well.

Fables, without a doubt, followed by Kurt Busiek/Cary Nord Conan

There's a really really underrated series that's only got a few issues out called Lullaby that I really enjoyed. It was kind of like LXG in that it teams up Pinocchio, Alice, Red Riding Hood, Jim Hawkings, and the Pied Piper into an adventure group. It skewed a little young and had manga inspired art, but I thought it was really fun and really unappreciated.

At first when you said Dragonlance I was thinking the old comic that came out in the 80s, which were rather dry (although pretty typical of 80s comics) from what I read. I've always been a fan of the novels, and I read the first mini from the new series. I liked the art, but after having read the novels, it's basically the same story except with huge chunks of story and dialogue missing (sicne they're trying to fit a 400 page novel into a six issue mini). The artwork looked nice, though.

I'll also mention Eduardo Risso's Red Moon, but probably no one will know what the hell I'm talking about

Sojourn from Crossgen. I tried a lot of their books, but Sojourn was the only one I managed to stick with. I was pretty bummed when they folded.

if we're including manga, Full Metal Alchemist

Full Metal is pretty...I dunno, steampunkish man. When I think Fantasy I usually think swords and sorcery, dragons and elves and such. Jaded crap yeah but I like it. Full Metal's cool too but is we're talking anime fantasy I prefer Record of Lodoss war.

Looking back I really think that CrossGen would really have cornered the market on fantasy with Sojourn, Scion and Way of the Rat. I'm a little surprised no one's picked up rights to any CG stuff. Its a gold mine if you ask me:

God I miss Ashleigh....Anyone pick up those Legend of Drizzt comics? I liked Tim Seely's pencils on the first two books but the third one was way bad
