Here we go this here will be one of two more movie trilogy best scene thread. As per request there will be no polls attached. This will be as thus choose your five favorite scenes from all 3 Rings movies if you have any or even if you liked the lord of the rings. I'll post mine at a later date. So i will let other people choose what they like without a poll.

Frodo: It's a pity Bilbo didn't kill him when he had the chance.
Gandalf: Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand. Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment. Even the very wise cannot see all ends. My heart tells me that Gollum has some part to play yet, for good or ill before this is over. The pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of many.

Frodo%20&%20Aragorn.jpg

I love this scene. Aragorn is tempted by the ring, resists it, and then tells Frodo to run whilst running headlong into an onrushing army of Uruk-Hai.

The best scene for me in the whole trilogy is boromir's last words to aragorn. as simple as that. but there are also lots of other great scenes.
Gandalf's self sacrifice scene with the balrog. The whole battle in moria,
aragorn's fight with lurtz.theoden's speech before the pellenor fields battle.

theres just too many!!!! But a few are:

Council of Elrond
Gandalf releases Sarumans hold on Theoden
Gandalf and Pippins ride through Minas Tirith
Battle of the Pellanor Fields (sp)

Legolas with an arrow through an Ork's face
Legolas sliding down a flight of stairs on a shield while shooting arrows
Aragorn versus that big orc at the end of FOTR
Evil Gollum speaking to Good Gollum.
Gandalf and the army of Rohan coming in to save the day in Two Towers.

This is one of the few film franchises where each installment was amazing...

Sam was the only thing that made the Frodo scenes in RotK watchable. Gamgee ruled that movie.

Sam drowning. Coincidentally, also the most disappointing scene.

Sam drowning and then as Frodo grabs his hand... Sam grips it... best scene IMO...

1 The Opening Prolog Sequence In Fellowship Of The Ring.
2 The Rohan Soldiers lead by Theodan like the rising of the dawn the music was great in that charge sequence.
3 The March Of The Ents on Isenguard.
4 Gandalf's You Shall Not Pass sequence his self scrifice was one of the greatest emotional things in the entire trilogy.
5 Aragorn Facing Off Against The 100's of Uraki So Frodo Could Escape.
6 The Army Of The Dead Skull Sequence in the Extended Editon Of Return Of The King.
7 The Beacan Lighting Sequence all over the lands or gondor and rohan.
8 The Rohan Horn Charge At Helms Deep when Aragorn had faith nough that Gandalf would be there.
9 Gandalfs Escape From Isenguard On The Back Of An Eagle.
10 Pippins Song Sequence as the Gondor Soldiers Charged Osguilith.
11 The Death Of Saurman On The Spiked Wheel.

Jeez there are so many... I think my favorites would have to be The Fellowship vs Orcs and Goblins in Moria; Helm's Deep; the battle on the way to Helm's Deep; Rohan Army at Pelennor Fields( I get chills when they all start chanting "Death!!!!").

I might as well just say every minute of all three films.

The reunion of the Fellowship after the war in ROTK. A true testament to the strength of PJ's characterization and direction. It wasn't even in the books, and it's one of the most emotional moments in the film. In movies with some of the biggest, epic images ever put on film, very little is happening yet the scene still manages to stand out.
He made me care about them so much that all he had to do to move me to tears was bring them together again with that beautifion rendition of the Fellowship theme playing over it.

one simple line: "For Frodo..."

That scene gave me goosebumps in the theater when he charges a full army of orcs at the Black Gates.

In the Fellowship when Aragorn is fighting Lurtz, its so brutal and quick, I just loved how it played it out. Lurtz gets stabbed in the chest and just pulls the sword in deeper, growling in Aragorn's face so he withdraws the sword and in one swift move, beheads Lurtz.

i like the scene at the end of FOTR where frodo is just standing alone, in a daze, his open hand outstretched with the ring in his dirty palm....almost as if he's jsut standing there, waiting for someone, anyone to come along and take this burden from him.

Yea strange enough that's my favorite fight(although the battles where spectacular too) in the whole trilogy, its just so visceral, and the final move was just pulse pounding, I remember everyone in the theater cheering and applauding when aragorn cuts lurtz head off.
