Best movie Satan?

My pick is a tie between Gabriel Byrne (End of Days) and Peter Stormare (Constantine). They both kicked arse.

Al Pacino ofcourse. The Devil's Advocate was very mediocre, but Al was awesome.

2-ANTHONYNASTI, who is supposed to be the other movie Satan you picked apart of Jack Nicholson in "The Witches of Eastwick"?

Pacino in Devil's Advocate.

Yeah he was pretty scary turning into satan in the church towards the end.

I always thought the actor playing Satan in Rosemary's Baby was quite spooky.

I think she looks better than others as Satan. Satan should be not only scary, but also mysterios and strange in view.

1-Just for the record, in "Omen 3: The Final Conflict", Sam Neil played The Antichrist, Satan's son, NOT Satan himself.

Actually Satan's son and Satan would be the very same entities.

Remember how they said Jesus was/is God in the flesh? Damien is Satan in the flesh. They're just wording it differently.

That's debatable, theologically. Satan does not have the same powers as God, he is God's creature and therefore lesser to God, and wether he can have a creature consubstantial to him or not is not sure. Satan is not the evil opposite number of God, maybe for the Manichean, but for most Christian Churches no.

Anyway, we are talking about fiction here, of course. But where in The Omen (or any equivalent) did they say that Damian was actually Satan in flesh?

On a couple of occassions they'd say he was Satan. In the movies they say he's the son of Satan, but in other cases where people talk about the movie they simply call him the Devil or Satan.

So take that for what you will. :)

I liked Byrne's Satan as well as Stormare's and of course Pacino's.

Stormare's in Constantine. His short scene made that movie own lol

Hmmmm...interesting. Do you refer to the remake or the original movie? I didn't see the remake, and the original one, it was a long time ago. Anyway, we would have to decide wether Damian is indeed consubstantial to his father, therefore a human incarnation of him, or if calling him the Devil was just metaphorical or a way to stress the filiation. And yes, I am being awfully nitpicking.

What do you guys think about the Devil we see briefly in Rosemary's Baby? I always thought he was really spooky.

Al Pacino in the Devils Advocate. Satan is not necessarily evil per say. He just manipulates man into doing evil acts, that he feels, will benefit all. That being said, the thought of the devil manipulating the world through a law Firm ,of all places, is ****ing brillaint.

I just wanted to add, that Satan in POCT was a form Satan took on the resemble mary, Jesus's mother. Notice how Mary and Satan wore the same black robe? Plus Satan came in the form of a female. What he was trying to do was get inside of Jesus's head by reminding him of something that resembled his mother....

I know it isn't a movie, but in Anthony Burgess's Man of Nazareth, Satan once takes the form of an old man carrying a torch. I thought it was quite a brilliant representation.

i've got to go pick up End of Days now. i haven't seen it in a few years, and i think it's in the $5 bin at walmart. that was one of my favorite Ahnold movies.

Stormore in Constantine and Pachino in Devil's Advocate for me. :)

Yeah, it's been a while since I saw it too, I only remember where Arnie was strapped on a cross and it was the only non=Terminator film where he died in the end.

I'll have to find it too. :)
