I honestly can't say which one's better, but I will say I think Batman needs more energy-spitting horned lizard creatures, bionic space cockroaches and evil robot twins in his Rogues' Gallery.

I'd love to see HARDAC show up in mainstream DC continuity, in some kind of Bat-robot form. They let Tut in, they can bloody well bring in a Batmandroid who wants to purify Gotham by replacing its entire populace with other robots.

Yeah I know. I was just highlighting a time Batman actually fought a city destroying monster because honestly that is my favorite comic book issue of all time. I originally read it in a trade paper back but have since found an actual copy.



If cartoons count, I'd probably say Batman has the better rogues gallery. Most of his main line up of villains are as famous as he is.


Then again Godzilla has King Ghidorah.

I could only name one Godzilla villain, Mothra. I'm sure most of the general public is the same way, whereas I could name all of the Bat villains. lol

Popularity is not an indication of quality. The pre-Nu52 Rogues in the Flash comics were far and away the best rogue's gallery in comics, and none of them have the household name appeal of the Batfoes.

Also, Mothra doesn't really count as a villain. He's more than likely some sort of good guy in any given appearance, and really only fights Godzilla when big G is playing antagonist.

The Joker, Two Face, The Penguin, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze and others have all provided a lot of really good, varied stories over the years.

Part of it is just a matter of genre, but a lot of Godzilla's villains, even the most distinct ones, are fairly interchangeable.

Actually I'm sure if you looked hard enough through the Silver Age you could probably find an example of both of those scenarios haha.
