Kara saves the plane was the standout moment of the first season IMO.

I would have also voted Superman saves Kara if it was there, although it was a blurry (CGI) Man of Steel I remember seeing that in the promo video and losing my ****.

My favorite scene of the season (and possibly the whole series) was when Alex confesses to Kara that she killed Astra. It's one of the rare times where I feel the show didn't go overboard with the melodrama or get too saccharine and played the emotions pitch-perfectly. Chyler and Melissa killed it. And when J'onn's walking out but Kara doesn't let him and grabs his hand and they just stay there for a moment? Beautiful.

I should've mentioned that the "Flash Saves Kara" scene wasn't just him saving her from falling out of the building, but the whole sequence where they come face to face with each other and have never heard of the other, and then Barry realises he's on the wrong earth.

Yep. It's actually kind of shocking considering how different our opinions are on the series in general, lol.

But here's a rundown: Kelly's a fan of S1, I am not. Kelly loved "Human for a Day," I hated it. I loved "Ace Reporter," Kelly hated it. Kelly likes Kara/Mon-El but thinks the romance took up too much screentime, while I just hated the whole damn romance. I want more characters from the Superman mythos, Kelly doesn't. I want Lena/Kara to be BFF's, Kelly doesn't. My priority is Kara being a proactive and independent heroine, Kelly's is Supergirl kicking arse. Does that about cover it, Kel?

Wait...all correct EXCEPT I'm fine with Lena and Kara being BFF's....I just don't want that to be all Lena is, that would be boring. NOW, if her fans keep being little toots on Twitter and Tmblr, then yeah....she can take a long vacation. But, for the most part, I'm fine with them being BFF's.

And as far as "Ace Reporter".... I loved almost every scene, until we get to Kara getting wiped out by some stupid, metal thingys and she's totally incapacitated...that was ridiculous and it totally ruined what could have been a really good episode. Loved the Mon-el/Kara channeling Nick/Nora from the "Thin Man" series...that was great.
