Best Suicide Squad Movie

What’s the best Suicide Squad movie in your opinion? My personal favorite is Assault On Arkham. What about you guys?

Great thread idea. Assault on Arkham is overall the best IMO. I think Ayer’s cut could edge it out. My main problem with Suicide Squad is the editing. I hope they release his cut.

Definitely Assault on Arkham. That's how you do a SS movie. Everyone played a role, all the characters were enjoyable, the mission was simple and straightforward, wasn't overly dramatic and just the right amount of humor. Still waiting for a live action adaptation similar to it.

It's the best because we haven't seen it. So we need to see it to be sure.

I want to see the David Ayer cut before I could decide it better, but at the moment, James Gunn gave us something special.

David Ayer is a good company man. His career took a hit after SS and Bright failed with critics, but he didn’t say anything bad about WB or the film until recently. His reputation as an artist was tarnished because of SS and WB and it sounds like he made a personal film that he was proud of, but they ruined it. I hope it can be released soon. It’s so much easier to release what is presumably a complete cut than what they did with ZSJL. It’s easy money…WB is just embarrassed that they sabotaged their own universe by meddling with the directors.

I knew it didn't stand a chance of winning, but for me personally Hell to Pay is still my favorite of the bunch and I'm someone who really enjoyed The Suicide Squad.

I'm going with The Suicide Squad. Assault on Arkham and Hell to Pay are both good but I can never get past the choppy animation of most of the DC animated films.

This latest The Suicide Squad was miles and miles better than the 2016 Suicide Squad. It's funny because they have almost the exact same general plot, but the execution was a million times better

Some of the recent interviews actually do make me a little interested to see more about the Ayer SS cut, since it sounds like ( unlike the Snyder Cut ) there actually were meaningful differences in the original story. That said, it almost certainly was also bad, just bad in a different ( and perhaps more interesting ) way.

The worst part of Suicide Squad was always the editing IMO. My gf watched the OG SS with me a couple days after we watched TSS, and she mentioned that the editing looked like a movie trailer. She had no idea that it is literally because it was edited by a movie trailer company lol.

I think I would love the real Suicide Squad. Ayer’s tone and visual style worked better for me, but TSS execution is better. To properly compare we need the Ayer cut.

I loved Bright for the record. I like Ayer.
