There was a best year in this awful decade of terrorism, war, financial collapses and huge natural disasters? I guess the one that sucked the least, so maybe 2000 because it kind of continued the 90's for a bit and Clinton was still President.

But the music was awful. Limp Bizket…. *shudder*……

I don't know. My best years were 2010 - 2013.

Like JJJ said, "best" is kind of a strong word here.

2009 was my first year of high school and I really enjoyed those years.

2002 . I was in the Army stationed in Germany and it was before being deployed to Iraq. That was a really good time.

2005 - 2007 these were the last years that all my friends were still around. We've drifted apart since then and things still havent been the same.


2009-2013 the worst years of my life.

2002 was awesome for me. I was 18 and graduated high school. It basically began my legal party years. Hooking up with lots of hotties. It was a great time for me.

You know I have to be honest, despite the tragic event that happened, 2001 was a pretty good year for me. I graduated high school, I was working and had my own money, plus the PS 2 and GTA III came out!

With 2003 a close second. I was in college learning art and made friends, it was the first time I was part of a group with people who were just as geeky as me.

My favorite years have been 2008, 2011 and 1999. Like Pyro, for completely personal reasons, not because anything awesome was happening geopolitically.

I liked 2001, 2002, 2003 and (the first half of) 2004 the best. But if I had to pick one, I'd say 2002, with 2003 a close-second.

I was really happy back then, young, in great shape, and financially secure. Not to say life isn't good now though, it was just a different time and I was going through a lot of positive changes then.

Highlights of 2002: Getting my first job, slimming down to 150lbs, attending an art program, getting an Xbox, seeing the first Spider-Man movie.

I remember back then I was into stuff like Cowboy Bebop, Invader Zim, Shenmue, Techtv, Toonami..

So much awesome music came out of the 2000's that I really feel sorry for anyone who lets Limp Bizkit define the musical landscape of the time.
