However, currently, Spider-Man is wanted because he is an unregistered hero. Mephisto tampered with the past and turned him into an unlicensed and unregistered vigilante. However, he is still remembered for defecting.

How does that work?

Apparently Mephisto's time-traveling magic whammy wiped away all logic, as well as Pete & MJ's marriage.

Oh no... im the only one who voted for WWH!

I just assume everything that happened in Amazing Spider-Man while JMS was writing didn't happen. Oh, except for Sins Past. They kept that one, apparently.

I don't know that I want the bees vagina...

Chaos magic, which exists to Quesada but not Bendis.

Hey look it's Annihilation and a bunch of wrong answers.

Chaos magic, which exists to Quesada but not Bendis.
They better use that to explain Scarlet's Witch crazy power levels bc she cant return as a viable character unless she gets a major power downgrade. Chaos magic being responsible for HoM and not simply her mutant powers does the trick

Yeah, it worked for Jean Grey when they brought her back in the 80's. Just make sure Grant Morrison doesn't get ahold of Wanda.

Annihilation by a mile. While Civil War was on a grander scale for the masses, Annihilation was more epic and its repercussions are still being felt, whereas the repercussions of Civil War have kinda tailored off for repercussions of Secret Invasion and now Dark Reign. Annihilation's repercussions are still holding strong and creating/driving stories to this day. Of all the titles to come out of Civil War, most weren't that great or have tailored off, but Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy have remained consistently great issue by issue, and the two spin off epics, Annihilation Conquest and War of Kings, were both phenominal.

The event itself was also better than any of the other issues because it just felt so amazing in scope, character's grew, no one felt like they were belittled or deminished in the event, even the deaths all felt meaningful and were well done (Quasar and Thanos specifically). Whereas Civil War, Disassembled, House of M, and others just tore down characters, continuity, and development... Annihilation rebuilt the entire Cosmic line and most everyone agrees that it's in a better place now than it was prior to the event.

In my opinion, Annihilation and what's come fromit is by far the best event over the past 10 years and potentially the best from all my years of reading comics. And this from a guy who couldn't give a flip about Cosmic Marvel prior to Annihilation.

LOVE IT!

yep Annihilation by far. Nothing on the list even comes close to it. That mini took characters I didn't give a crap about before and turned them into some of my favs.

Annihilation, and I didn't even read it. I'm basing this on my readings of Guardians of the Galaxy and Nova.... Man I've got to get the trades.

ANNIHILATION, easy. No event has so successfully relaunched an entire brand of comics as well as a few ongoing titles and a slew of formerly forgotten C-Listers, turning into dramatic starring heroes. All the rest pale in comparison, quality wise.

Annihilation may have been a great read and well written crossover, but Civil War changed the ENTIRE Landscape of the MU. Every single book was reshaped after this event. Revamping of the Avengers, the Intiative, Spider-Man's new status quo, Iron Man being in charge, Captain America assasinated!, Bucky becoming Cap, Punisher returning....It really was the MU version of a "Crisis". You know how you always read a promo for an event and it says "This event will change EVERYTHING!!"....Well, Civil War did just that.

yeah, but you an say the same thing about Secret Invasion, which went and changed a lot of the stuff that Civil War set into play (such as Tony on the run, Norman and villains in power, branched into the cosmic line War of Kings, New status for all the Avenger titles, was the beginning of bringing the X-Men back into the Marvel Universe proper, etc.)
