Stormbreaker was a geat mini, except the last issue of the series seemed out of place

And I would completely agree with you... if they had bothered to use him in the year long interim. seems to me he would have been better off left a korbinite and used in Annihilation. instead he's another benched character running around the MU with no purpose, the whole last issue made no sense...

He still is a Korbinite, just like Thor is still Asgardian.

In his human form, he is Simon Walters, when he slams his fist against something he becomes Beta Ray Bill.

But Beta ray is a hybrid form, He doesn't have a pure korbinite form anymore thus...

better off left a korbinite and used in Annihilation.

His Korbinite form was changed when the Korbinites made him into BRB. Only his clothes and power level changed once he was given Stormbreaker. He hasn't had a pure Korbinite form since he was given his original powers from the Korbinites.

Actually Odin gave Bill the ability to transform back into his original korbinite self by passing the enchantment from Mjolnir to Stormbreaker.
