Theres been a handfull of movies that I've seen in the theatres that I did not carefor, but when I saw on DVD I started to enjoy them. What are some movies that u thought was so-so in theatre, but liked once u sat down and watched at home???
    Some of my turn-around movies:
    MIB/MIBII
    Serenity
    The Island
    Mission Impossible
    Ocean's Eleven
    The Punisher
    Revenge of the Sith/Phantom Menace
    Silent Hill
    Decent

*I am Legend/30 days of Night, think these movies will be better on dvd. They to me have that vibe of being a better DVD movie than on big screen.

Yeah, Phantom Menace has grown on me since watching it in the theatre. Its not that bad.

Same with Revenge of the Sith. Hated it at first...now its not bad, although still didnt deliver the real goods IMO.

Attack of the Clones on the other hand...hate that movie with a passion still. Ugh!

For me, it was Hulk. Was meh about it when it was in the theater. Then I bought a year or so ago for about 9 bucks, and I liked it better.

Are you sure it isn't so much that its better on DVD than rather just you finding them better after repeat viewings?

All movies are better from my own couch with my own TV and stereo pumping out the sound. Frankly, I prefer no talking at all during movies so theaters usually kill it for me. If I see something in theaters it's usually in the middle of the afternoon on like a Tuesday so I have as little disturbances as possible, feels like my own screening room.

What I need is a projector to complete my set up.

    Rarely, any.

I find that the theater experience in the dark with a group of strangers connected to an experience with the entire world closed off is more engrossing and absorbing as their are no distractions and there is only just the movie and if it is good than the whole audience is absorbed and if it is funny the whole audience laughs hard which makes you laugh harder than you would at home unless you have a ****load of friends over.

    Theatre > home for cinema.
