What scenes/shots did u guys notice were edited differently than they were in the theatrical cut? I noticed two off the top of my head. In the scene where the Joker crashes that party and says "Where's Harvey Dent?" and he telling Rachel how he got his scars. When he says "I put a razor in my mouth, and do this." In the theatrical cut, I remember the camera being on his face but in the DVD, the shot is more from behind his head. Also, in that same scene, the awesomely cool "Then you're gonna love me!" In the theatrical cut, you actually see Batman say that line but on the DVD, the voice is heard off-screen. I personally like the theatrical cut of both of these better. Anybody else notice these and others? Why the changes?

Neither of the shots you mentioned were in the theatrical cut. They both appeared in theaters as you described them on DVD.

I never noticed either of those on the theatrical cut.

On the first trailer you saw Batman say "Then you're gonna love me". But it wasn't in the theatrical version. Even the way Joker says "A little fight in you, I like that" in the trailer was different to how he did it in the movie. He was more energetic in the movie, and even did a little head tilt.

I just seen it in IMAX Friday and I don't think anything is different on the DVD shot wise. I know we seen Batman saying "Then you're gonna love me." in the trailer. And I always thought when Joker shows his scars to Rachel we see an over the shoulder shot. Nothing is changed to me.

Are you the one who saw it in the theater 38 times?

The only really noticable difference between takes that i noticed was his "Kill the Batman" line was a lot more pronounced and menacing in the trailer than the more business proposal stylee in the actual movie...

yeah I only noticed differences in the trailers and final film.

the midnight release

Maroni: Then why haven't you done it already?

Joker: Like my mother always told me if you're good at something. never do it for free.

that changed

Also at the midnight release you do see batman say "then you're going to love me"

No.

Having seen it in the theatres 10 times and one of my sisters had seen it close to that there was one scene I can remember they edited down for the DVD.

It's when Dent comes into MCU the day after the penthouse scene and asks Gordon where they keep the trash.

Me and my sister distinctively remember it focusing on Dent longer and you can actually see him when he's asking Gordon that question. On the DVD it was edited so he says that line offscreen while the camera is still on Gordon and Detective Stephens.

I can't comment on most of the others that were posted except for when Joker says "If your good at something do it for free". I'm almost positive when I saw it on Imax for the midnight showing he did mention something about his mom like what Clock King posted.

Some of you may deny these as ******** but this isn't the only movie I've noticed this with. They do it all the time with tons of films but alot of the time it's so subtle you don't really catch most if any of them.

The part where Nurse Joker was startled by the bomb going off. I remember him being a bit more frightened and the scene lasting a few more seconds in theaters than it did on DVD.

No, trust me. That line about his mother was in the script, but not in the film. When the script came online, there were several people complaining that it was a great line, and should have been kept in the film. And for proof of any of this, all you need is a trusty bootleg...not that I would have one. :o ;)

well the cut I saw whichever midnight it was had the line in there and I have many friends who can attest to it also so...

Well that's very bizarre. Like...extremely bizarre. Why would there be two cuts of the movie released across the nation?

no idea, its possible my friends and I could have just thought that up. It is very easy to picture heath saying that.

as the one who's seen it 106 times, there is No different cut. what many of you have seen on the DVD, was first seen in the theater, at all times. and vice versa to those who've seen it more than 5 times in the theater.... same as the DVD. as many trailers, clips, bootlegged (or not) scripts, even the novelization, are not in the DVD or the theatrical cut.
can't call me crazy.... ok, you can.... but who would care?

It wouldn't be the first time I've heard it happen. I showed a guy the script and a few lines and he was convinced he heard them in the movie, only to realize that he just imagined it. Perhaps they are so Jokerish that they just merge into the movie in your mind? LOL :hehe: :woot:

oh, and dude..... Tropic Knight? dude...:hehe:

Absolutely nothing was changed. You can go see it in theaters today if you're not convinced.
