light skinned famouse women tend to do this, the addition of the long blonde streaky hair change is normally when you see it occuring...

highly unnecessary and you usually see it affecting their music, the requirement to tick certain boxes to appeal to one group of people while still trying to have a connection to one's root's, either ethnicly or musically
