I tried to conduct my own Bigfoot search once and living in Sumter, South Carolina we've had a couple to a few alleged sightings. So I decided to go to those particular areas to see if they held any merit.
During the search it was me and a friend of mine who brought food as a "gift" or "bait", whichever word you choose to use is okay. The food we brought was fruits like apples, bananas, grapes, and oranges, which he put on the ground in this wooded area that we started searching and we backed away to create some distance in case anything was out there.
So we were standing around just talking and just enjoying the peace. It was a beautiful day out. It wasn't hot, warm, or cold, it was just right and there wasn't any wind blowing at all nor was there a breeze. All of a sudden we heard this very LOUD crash like a tree or a branch was pushed down. Immediately we both jumped and we were looking around, all of a sudden I felt like we were being watched. You ever had the feeling that someone or something is looking at you? And it's letting you know that you're not welcome? That's the feeling I got.
The hairs literally started to stand up on my arm and the back of my neck, so I grabbed my friend by her arm and we both got the hell out of there. We went back a couple of hours later to see that the food was gone. Now I'm not going to say it was a Bigfoot. We didn't see it and I don't know what pushed the branch or tree down.
For all I know it could've been a squirrel that landed on a weak branch and it fell, I don't know. But one thing I do remember is how scared I felt and how I felt a presence looking right at me.
