He wouldn't run for VP, the Presidental nominee would appoint as his/her running mate.

 ..is it possible???

and hypothetically if he does get it and something .."happens" to the pres... would it be legal for him to take over the presidency????

Yea but lets say the Presidental Nominee appoints Bill Clinton as VP? Would Clinton even be eligible?

according to what the law says yeah. It doesn't say anywhere in the constitution that you can't serve more than twice. It merely says that you can't be elected twice. Elected and serving are two different things.

yeah what NOFX said

WHOEVER/CLINTON 08!:woot:

I like this idea:

One constitutional lawyer not heard from on the issue is William Jefferson Clinton, Yale Law class of 1973. But he has offered thoughts on the 22nd Amendment. Before leaving office and again in 2003, he suggested amending the amendment to let a two-term president leave office and then run again: "Since people are living much longer . . . the 22nd Amendment should probably be modified to say two consecutive terms instead of two terms for a lifetime.

I think the ultimate irony of ironies ought to be this: George Bush removes the term limits, Bill Clinton comes back and hands him his a$$.

It would kind of be like "Superman Returns", only it wouldn't suck.

There'd be more action sequences, too.

I think the collective heads of all the Fox News "journalists" would explode if that happened. Sounds like must-see-TV, to me! :woot:

I doubt he'd want to be VP, though. He seems to really be enjoying his new role as private citizen, because it allows him more flexibility in his endeavors.

This sounds to good to be true. Much like the Colts winning the Bowl. I will believe the Dem. doing something worth while when I see it.

True. His Global Initiative is doing some amazing things these days and if I were him, I'd keep pushing on with that.
