since bush had been president every single year the poverty rate in america got worse and worse untill finally last year it stayed the same.

and all this talk about how strong our economy is huh? bush didn't make it stronger he simply stole from the poor and gave to the rich kind of like the opposite of Robin Hood.

Dayum! Oh Snap! That account balance **** is no joke!

That is one HUGE deficit (USA)!

Republicans pride themselves as being fiscally responsible but Bush has been the exact opposite of that.

I think everyone who voted to re-elect that a-hole should have to give up 50% of their salary or wages every month until the deficit is gone.

I saw this the other day:

https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/rankorder/2187rank.html

It's a list of countries ranked by account balance. Check out where the States are.
What do those figures even mean? Who is the deficit owed to? Not that I'm a supporter of ths administration, Bush is a complete moron, but I never understood why we should get so worked up over the deficit. Who's going to foreclose on the USA? Or Britain? The debit is kinda meaningless when you get down to it.

that's how much money the government owes social security, china, japan, and several other countries. not only that but the value of the american dollar goes down the higher the deficit goes up. in fact 40% of what you pay in taxes right now, goes towards the interest on the deficit, and the rest of what you pay is used for government spending.

George Bush has sucked a lot of money out of our wallets and wasted it. more than several presidents combined actually. He's officially the biggest threat to America in the world.

they have all been like bush for decades now. How much debt did Raegan give us? How much debt did Bush Sr give us? how much debt did Bush SR give us? In fact for the last 40 years every repubican president has given us deficits and every democrat has given us surplusses.

It's the way of things. Republicans are radical spenders, who increase the budget and make the government huge, while it does nothing and helps nothing and refuses to intervene.

Democrats are fiscally responsible. They don't spend more than what they bring in, and they pay down the republican deficits. they intervene and do a lot for the country, with as little money as possible.

that whole small government thing is a myth republicans have successfully pulled over the eyes of the voters.

Example. The democrats chairman supports big strong government intervention, but with non-military spending the same as it was under clinton, which is half a trillion less annually than Bush annually. That's even how he did it for Vermont when he was Governor. He implemented all kinds of government social programs to stimulate the economy and social progress, crime prevention, while lowering government spending and cutting taxes and turning a state deficit into a state surplus at the same time during his eleven years as Governor. He even increased the number of jobs by 20% in those eleven years.

Possible but all the people who want to be the prez aren't making me to happy.

So far Mark Warner's the only one who's struck me as worth a damn.

Well both are. Democrats believe in spending more and taxing to compensate for programs. Lots and lots of programs. Republicans believe in lower taxes and fiscal conservatism. Or spending very little.

But yeah the point still stands. Republicans spent a lot when that is usually not what they do.
