Black Dynamite

The gag was wearing one me once it got to the third act and I started checking the watch.

I feel it kind of fell apart when they got to the White House. A bad Nixon impression is not funny. It was pretty funny for the first half hour so. It was like watching a sketch that's a good 10 minute sketch turned into a long ass movie.

Don't know how MacGruber can do it.
Whatchu thinkin' you Jive Sucka' You come on up in here wit dat crazy talk???:cmad: :oldrazz:

*Ahem* ...Sorry you didn't care for it...

If Grindhouse was financially successful, this movie would have been perfect as one half of a double feature.

I'm about a half hour in and I think it's great. Michael Jai White is pure gold, the set design, costumes and music are really well done and the whole thing just oozes cool 70's atmosphere. I love it thus far.

No! Not the orphans!

I cant wait for this dvd still cant get enough of this movie.

my message alert tone is DYNAMITE...DYNAMITE lol

Some of my favourite quotes:

"Freeze you jive time suckas"

"Can you see where I'm comin from you jiiiive mutha****aaaaaaaaaaa"

"haha I threw that s**t before I got in the room"

And of course "Kung Fu Treachery"

When does this come out on DVD? It looks like a serious take on what they tried to do in "I'm gonna get you Sucka".

Don't forget, "I told you not to interrupt my kung-fu!"

My favorite was, "Donuts don't wear alligator shoes.":hehe:

We lost it when this bit happened. The look on his face is priceless. I love the fake parachute shot too. Cream Corn! Noooo! *blamblamblam* And the Donut. :woot:

Good times. I ordered a copy from Amazon today but I'm gonna hang onto my Netflix copy so I can watch it over the weekend, maybe even more than once!

I felt just the opposite of Vile, to me it kept getting funnier as it went along. It did seem that they weren't always quite sure how much Airplane-style wackiness they wanted to pack in, like maybe someone wanted to tone down the slapstick a bit. I dunno.

But it's all good, I enjoyed it as much as I hoped I would back when I saw the trailer. I've got my fingers crossed that MacGruber will be as enjoyable, but we'll see.

i hope people really discover this movie on DVD. im wanting a sequel!

i've got this on my que on netflix. been waiting for the past two weeks.

What's bothers me about netflix now is that..it has grown in popularity so it's really hard to get popular movies. I had to wait 3 months for a movie like Orphan. What stuff like that happens, they need to get more copies..

Epic Win! :applaud

Can you make that a avy for me I would much appreciate it!

I can't, but the generous and handsome lads in the avatar request thread might be able to hook you up.

They send out new releases on Monday. I've learned that if I mail them back on Saturday, they arrive in the distribution center in Memphis on Monday and more often than not I'll get whatever releases are planned for that week. Assuming said new releases are at the top of my queue.

I don't do this a lot because if I hang onto them all week just so I can mail 'em back on saturday then I start to feel like I'm not getting my money's worth. But in a week with several new releases, like this past week with Black Dynamite, Law Abiding Citizen and Whiteout then I'll do it.

But yeah, if you miss them right away you're screwed. I waited months for The Orphan myself, before I finally rented it from the store because they'd dropped it to the $2 section.

I agree w/ the earlier. The first half of this thing, i had to turn it off I was laughing too hard- Then once the scheme is found out it falls right on its ass...badly. Who the hell remembers Nixon that would appreciate this.

But DAMN, it was total WIN for up until that point....the meeting w/ the pimps...lord have mercy..."BYE Black Dynamite!" :funny:

"Chigago Wind I presume"
"The presumption is correct...n****"

after the phone call about his brother.
"...scram...SPLIT.. SHAKE THE SCENE TURKEY'S!- GETTOUTTAMYHOUSE!! I'll see yall tomorrow."

So many brilliant lines, I don't know where to begin.

"Orphans don't have parents."
"Fiendish Dr. Wu, you done ****ed up now!"
"Shut the **** up when grown folks is talkin'."

the first time i saw the movie, by time it got to the white house things grew a little tiresome. i was actually concerned that i just grew tired of the film being so damn funny. but the second time i saw it, it all flowed much better and worked just fine for me.

"But Black Dynamite. That's what I do. I sell drugs to the community."

cant post it due to language, but just do a youtube search for "Euphoria Interrupts Black Dynamite"

Liked that part a lot.
When he tried to chump all the pimps w/"Can you dig that?" & that one pimp who wasn't scared was like "Hell no, n****!" I couldn't stop laughing. &the part where he laughed all the way back to base was funny as hell too. The way the donut suit man fell when he died was also waaaaaay too funnny

Oh, you's a corn-fed fool with a lot of muscle mass,
but it's time for Bullhorn to get up in that ass!
Hi-YAAA!

I watched this over the weekend and absolutely loved it. I'm a big fan of Dolemite, and I loved all of the references to it. This was probably the funniest movie I've seen all decade. I'm serious.

The scene where Bullhorn slaps the dark skin guy had me rolling on the floor:woot:

My favorite scene was when Black Dynamite and his gang solve the mystery. That had me rolling on the floor.
