Sci-Fi Black Mirror (Science Fiction anthology TV Show)

While episode 5 and 6 weren't bad and were terrifying in their own right, they really paled in comparison to the first 4 imo.

Playtest was really good. Wyatt Russell got his own 'The Thing' encounter like his dad ;)

when I realized who played Cooper I thought the same thing chamber :awesome:

The ending to that episode is friggin devastating. The first episode is actually pretty cathartic by Black Mirror standards.

Great show. Thought Bryce gave her best performance yet in Nosedive and it reiterates the powerhouse she is as an actress. Five stars, baby. :D

Just started watching the new season……

Alice Eve in a bikini was worth the first ep's admission price alone :hmr:

I finished the last few yesterday afternoon I have to agree the 1st one was not as good, but Bryce did a great job in the part I did like how she got drunk and just lost it at the wedding.

Wasn't drunk, just had a psychotic break.

Shut Up and Dance was some twisted stuff :wow:

I guessed the twist pretty early. No way someone would go through all of that without having something horrifically bad to be ashamed of.

San Junipero was cool. There are a lot of TV shows and films that try to capture the look and feel of the eighties but don't really pull it off but San Junipero successfully did. The acting in Black Mirror is consistently good in my opinion.

The Men Against Fire base looked like Silverstone race track barracks. I assume they used it as a location.

I do think San Junipero was the best episode or close to it. Shut Up and Dance was effective but still obvious. Playtest I liked too. I can see him doing a proper reboot of The Thing and taking on his father's role. Though that ending, and then the ending again, and then again was kind of a rehash of the never-ending-wake-up-from-a-nightmare trope.

Oh god… Shut Up and Dance…

San Junipero has got to be one of the best hours of television I've seen. I was in tears by the end...

Oh goddamn it, San Junipero...

Just finished this one. I thought the guy from Game of Thrones was the one who orchestrated it, but i guess not. Nice twisted story.

I really liked Hated in the Nation. I feel like this episode could of spun off into a procedural thriller series with Benny Wong, Blue Waif and Kelly McDonald hunting down cyber terrorist like Ghost In The Shell's Section 9.

Charlie Brooker knows his police procedural's having been the co-creator of cop procedural parody A Touch of Cloth.

^ Brooker's hinted at the possibility of those characters coming back.

I kinda love the idea of having a few episodes each season about reoccurring characters on new, horrifying and soul crushing adventures.

Watched the Bryce Dallas Howard ep last night. Went in expecting it to take a darker turn, but damn good nonetheless.

Yep. Just watched it myself, and that was basically the Black Mirror equivalent of a happy ending, lol.

Also, I could tell that was the Joe Wright episode within the 1st minute. I do like his style.

About midway through the episode I looked on wikipedia to see who one of the actors was and noticed that Rashida Jones and Mike Schur wrote the episode, so that started to give me an inkling that things weren't going to get all that horrific.

Oh wow yeah I missed the writing credits. Even though it wasn't as dark as most Black Mirror eps, this was a nice change of pace for them. Good cast too, though they kinda wasted James Norton.

Bryce Dallas knocked it out of the park. Her big speech was simultaneously pathetic and empowered.

she was drunk as well the trucker gave her the thermos with vodka ;)

Haha yeah, I was totally wrong, I admit it. During my last re-watch I noticed it. I had completely forgot about the "emergency" piece the trucker gave her.

And Bryce deserves an Emmy for that performance. Otherwise I'm gonna have to do like Mr. West. :sly:
