These all life matters fools just don't get it! Nobody is saying black lives are the only lives that matter. Isn't that a damn clue?

The "All Lives Matter" crowd tend to be the same ones making excuses for the cops who pushed the elderly man and blaming him for being viciously assaulted and suffering serious injuries. I'm starting to think they don't actually believe all lives matter.

For the first part, I've come to think that the Right saw the progress made during the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's for minority rights and representation, Femenist goals, Gay rights, environmental issues and on and on and just assumed that the "Lefties" whined and then stuff happened for those issues. The legitimate weight backed up by facts, reality and history which made those issues and the ways we as a society chose to move forward are just shoved aside in their minds since they never registered much to begin with. They just think that the ONLY reason anything happened is due to a disingenuous sob story spun by their opponents. So of course with that in mind, of course they will attempt to place themselves into the victim circle. They think they are one upping the other side in some way. To them, the Left is JUST whinning about things so unthinking as they are they try to replicate it.

Like with Fox trying to turn Beck, Watter and their ilk into the GOP answer to Jon Stewart. They see Stewart and Colbert and think, "Ah... the substance of the comedy isn't important. Just be a snarky *******. Works for the Left, doesn't it?"

It looks better to say you're protecting your rights or ending persecution that is not happening than admitting you just want to flex your cultural and political power to make life worse for people who are not like you in some way.

Now that is a pretty cool story.

Pop comes off far more thoughtful then the vast majority of older white folk in sports, if not simply society in general. And you can tell he feels it. You can hear the emotion in his voice.

I don't agree. Those shows might give those calling for the defunding of cops a reason to reconsider. There's a lot of good cops out there doing things right and people need to see that, too.

I get this and totally agree.
However...
All lives (should always) matter
But right now?
We have to concentrate on: All Black lives matter
Why?
To get things changed so that black (in fact, any minority) people do not have to live their lives wondering if a cop is going to kill them today while they are out leading their day to day lives...
I hope these protests can get some real changes made.

Went to a protest yesterday. Went really well. And before anyone says anything at the least a majority people wore masks, but it was pretty powerful
