I can't remember where it was exactly, but when I saw a police chief talk about how good of people two officers were that she had to fire after they broke the windows to pull out a black couple from their car and tase them, it made me realize how much BS there is going to be at each and every step here. These cops were good people, they didn't mean it. It was the heat of the moment and they made a mistake.

Yeah but if one of us regular non-police folk did something like this, we would be jailed for it. I wish I could use the excuse I made a mistake if I committed an assault like that and got to get away with it.

If you want to help, check to see if your company does a charitable donation match. A lot of them do for taxes and stuff.
And maximize that out by getting your friends and family to give you money and then submit it.

On that note...does anyone know where the BLM money actually goes? We're already donating to a local legal defense fund, but I wanna raise money for something else. Was thinking our local chapter of BLM, but, and this has been a problem I've had with BLM, it's not very clear where my money goes.

Had to edit post. Look for Rfreakout on reddit to see some disturbing video. One in particular is chilling. A car stopped gets hit with tear gas rounds multiple times. There is pregnant woman onboard. The crime? The driver yelled at the cops for hitting his car with tear gas in the first place when all he was doing was stopped at a red light.

It's not merely a subset. It is not just "a few bad apples".

LOE are out of control. Why are they being caught so casually using tear gas and the like against civilians so often when it has not been necessary?

I'm sorry but they are the ones making their job harder when they act like this. People across a wide swath have rapidly lost both respect and fear of LOEs.

This will not end well for all sides involved. Let us just keep in mind... One side is armed to the teeth and is empowered with the authority to kill.

2) There are just better things to post. Post the charities that are doing something. Post some facts for people to educate themselves. Posting a photo of a cop and a black person hugging is just nothing and comes across as tone deaf at this time.

Yeah he's free to post what he wants. And people are free to point out why it's silly. It's the equivalent of "thoughts and prayers" after a mass shooting.

And you're right. People especially those with a huge platform shouldn't post any more facts or charities because there's all types of that **** all over the internet. And everyone sees everything posted on the internet. It's not like people could use more facts on situations. And it's not like people with a massive platform could use it so much better than showing empty platitudes
