BLM Protests Across The World

I don't know if this was posted in here. It's from a few days ago. But the attacks on our older brothers and sisters during this, are just so upsetting to see. This man has a cane. What is wrong with the cop?

If he approached my niece like that i would have grabbed his bike and smashed it into his back. Or completely lost my **** and opened his back up with my utility knife. His intentions toward that little girl could have been so much worse and considering his body mass he could have severely injured her with a single punch.
I think we are all of the agreement, that we'd whoop his ass. But maybe less talk about literally gutting people.

So it was another rough day :( No peace
I dont think theres going to be real peace until the major cities swallow their pride and arrogance and overhaul their police.

This is a battle of atrophy. Cities dont have the money or resources to keep this fight going indefinitely. If the people can hold out long enough the cities will have to cave. The people need to draw the line now and not stop this time. The cities are financially vulnerable due to Covid so they may cave sooner rather than later. In that way Covid might be a bittersweet blessing.

I think the suspicion for Seattle saying no more tear gas for a while is that they ran out.

The cops are thinking of this as a war. They know they need to beat people into submission, or they are going to be forced to act less gang like.

He should get his arse kicked just for being a cyclist.

Seriously, though, he's lucky that kid's dad wasn't there.

Socialist Democrats from the radical Left are calling to dismantle the police force of our country. What happened to respecting our officers of the law? There's Fox News spin on that.

I just don’t get the point of this and the video with the other old guy being pushed back onto the floor. Both were on their own. What is going through the minds of these cops when they know people are recording stuff all the time and looking for things like this. It feels like cops like this can’t help control their underlying, practised brutality and also have no brains or safety awareness/training. Quite a bad combination in a high pressured, high stakes job.

Cops and those who would be their apologists online need to understand that each time they decide to go out and do something corrupt or violent and it gets caught on camera it's first and most lasting affect is to actually just make their job harder for themselves.

And this is playing out now in a way that has nationalized this all for a generation.

Seeing it up close I think that a large amount of those young people taking part of both the protests and the looting have lost both any respect for police but also fear. And when a populace loses those two for LOE... No good can come from it, on all sides.

I think the current and prolific behaviour of the cops in these cities is caused by a mixture of mob mentality, adrenaline, and a power trip. I think its making many cops a lot less reasonable and less considerate than they would normally be. On top of this the bad cops are probably encouraging their bad behaviour in otherwise decent cops. A cop that otherwise might have helped an elderly person feels pressure to not rock the boat and doesnt want to be hazed or doesnt want to threaten their standing in their station so they behave bad towards a civilian. It's the sort of thing you see within gangs and it's why a seemingly good person can become a bad person. Unfortunately this behaviour is feeding the people's resistance which in turn is feeding the cops aggression. Our society is experiencing a cascade.

My thing is... I can actually forgive something done "in the heat of the moment".

So much of what we are seeing doesn't really fall into that category.

Vicious circle. :csad:

That's true for many protesters too, no? The ones that aren't paid professional agitators that is. What's the demo? I'm sure many are younger people who would be on break, but many have jobs and responsibilities too, if they aren't out of work due to the virus. So a lot of them are stressed financially. Point taken about Covid though, but I think the longer this goes on and affects more people directly and/or indirectly (sickness causing further delay getting back to work and even greater financial pressures, etc), the likelihood of a decline of protesters seems like a possible outcome.

Hell nah! Ridiculous ****. The cops couldn't have just asked why he was filming or shout not to film(even though not illegal)? He didn't even say a word to them or taunted or anything except film and cross the street the right away. No protest or anything.

Ran up to him like a pack of agressive dogs
