BLM Protests Across The World

A guy I used to be friendly with in high school started a fundraiser on Facebook for the officer who shot Rayshard Brooks.

He’s trying to raise 50K and has $210 so far.
Sadly, the former officer will likely be reaping in hundreds of thousands of dollars. If the man who killed George Floyd can crowdfund his million dollar bail, this guy will be making a fortune.

We'll know soon I suppose.

That said, let's assume a worst case scenario. Let's say they come back with something that is for all intents and purposes a "clearing" of the case against the officers involved, and it would have to be a long list that goes beyond just the people that broke into the front door the night Taylor was killed. As **** ups go they would need to go up the chain of command. Who signed off on the operation? Who is responsible for the mistakes that lead to this killing? How could something go so wrong on an operation that by its very nature you would assume all the i's would be dotted and all the t's crossed?

If they give the police a pass, then I think the issue is less "support" for the cops doing the no knock break in and more that all the way up to the top this would bring down a **** ton of higher ups. Or else they are worried that in looking into this that more stones would be unturned about other things the PD has been up to. And they won't have that if they can help it.

I hope I'm wrong.

But I'm still thinking this coast to coast Police freak out is less about loyalty to systemic racism as it is about how the systemic racism is causing a national lens to be focused on cops and they are afraid ALL the bodies are gonna get unburied.

Metaphorically speaking. :o

This is very disappointing. :csad:

Trump supporters don't care about Trump making things better for them. Trump supporters care about making things worst for people they don't like.

If you view Trump via the bitter hater lens of his supporters then you understand why they think he is doing good.
Martin Luther King was totally kneeling for the King in the north in the sixties :o

Another example of why you really shouldn't give an opinion on a topic you don't know about or understand until you have done a bit of research.

If they don't charge them, I fear for the citizens of Louisville if it happens. We might see the biggest riots we have seen so far, and just... I really hope it doesn't happen.

Guess Louisville is going to burn. And if they announce it today, that is only going to add insult to injury. But I can easily see why they wouldn't charge the cops, because that also opens up the judge to some liability.

EDIT: And the president is threatening violence tomorrow.

He included protestors who are protected by the U.S. constitution.

I can't wait till this clown is removed from the White House.

You know, if Trump does lose the election, I wonder what he'll do over the next 2 months. I could see him implementing a scorched earth policy just out of spite and/or getting Barr to bring charges against the president elect to try and invalidate the election (it wouldn't). This is a man who cares about nothing but himself; not the truth; not his constituents; just him and his (obviously fragile) ego.

Looks like they are moving to fire one of the officers involved in Breonna Taylor's death. I think there should be more.
If it is true they lied to get the warrant, whoever is involved with that should be in legit, career ending, jail time trouble imo.

I wonder about that too. He could potentially try and start WW3 between his potential defeat and when he leaves the office in January 2021(if he loses).

I don't know if even he would do that, but just recognizing the possibility, says something and is a scary thought. I would think that the military would step in at that point.

At this point, nothing is too evil for Trump, imo. He supported the concentration camps in China after all. While he may not exactly cause another World War, it’s still possible he’d want to make things harder for his successor than it already is by going peak crazy.

Trump will no doubt whine about how the election was rigged against him or mass illegal voting if he loses. I think a lot of the GoP will treat Trump like Trump treats the guys he fired. Many are only kissing Trump's ass as he is their meal ticket to power.

He'll spend the entire time trying to challenge it, while the Turtle tries to focus him on confirming more judges.

Bring it on, old man!

It would be entertaining to see them all turn on him properly. I can imagine there will be some anger from those that lose seats directly due to Trump's actions.

Someone needs to do the “You’re fired!” line on him.
