I can now only really afford to buy TPBs now as opposed to issues every week. Was the Blood of Apocalypse storyline any good?

I tend to be pretty forgiving with comics (I enjoyed House of M) but "Blood of Apocalypse" was one of the worst things I have every read, the writer should be ashamed of himself.

All copies should be buried with Nuclear waste never to be seen again.

Yes, this was a pretty dismal story. Apocalypse came across as a huge wuss. Honestly after AOA I don't think they'll ever be able to have another successful Apocalypse story since that was the pinnacle of Apocalypse at his most brutal.

The worst part about this story is that NOTHING stuck. They made a huge deal about who the new Horsemen would be and look where that ended up. Sunfire and Polaris were rescued, Gazer is dead and Gambit, while still a Horsemen, seems to have much of his free will left.

Blood of Apocalyspe is a waste of paper, it's truly one of the most useless Apocalyspe stories yet. It reeks of "retcon coming to a theater near you" storytelling. Much like Morrison's run when it was finally over.

Deadly Genesis I found to be pretty bad too. It's just another Xavier is a manipulative @$$hole story. It's convinced me to stop reading Uncanny X-Men for the first time in about 10-12 years.

Like most of Milligan's other arcs, it's enjoyable for the first two or three issues but has a dull, crap-out ending.

I hated, I mean really HATED this arc!:o I didn't actually buy it. I looked at scans of it online. I wish Milligan would get fired for writing this arc! All he's good at doing is making things look out of continuity from certain issues that were written 5 years ago. Everything about it was so terrible that I've given up on reading x-men comics once again. First Storm gets written out for the stupidest reason, lots of mutants get depowered and now this?! Until things go back to the way they used to be for X-men, I am NEVER trusting Marvel again!

Anyone else feel this way?
