My favorite for the role has always been Ben Stiller. Steve Carrell would kill it too though. I’m definitely thinking they should go with a guy who can do comedy.

Owen Wilson would be the ideal Booster IMO.

I think if Warner Bros wants a name for Ted Kord, I wonder if Tom Hanks might work? He's a bit older than a lot of the suggestions for Kord but as a mentor role, I could see it.

I think he works for Dan Garrett more so than Ted Kord. So that's who I'd cast him as.

That’s not surprising. It has the obvious benefit of being the first Latino led superhero film.

I’d bet on it happening. They’ve honestly got a lot of good material to draw from too. This has the potential to be a really good movie. The Reach should definitely be the villains.

They definitely do! The groundwork work is there from the comics and there's a lot of concepts from Jaime's mythology that are worth exploring. Obviously the Reach is a big one, but so is Black Beetle (and Green Beetle), La Dama and her villains for hire could also work, The Posse (underground metas) are also interesting, then we have Skywitness and the Mesoamerican connection, plus the Short-Timers and Stopwatch and their whole time travel set up...etc. Obviously the first two are the biggest thanks to YJ and B: BATB, but the sky is limit with Blue Beetle imo.

Tom Hanks is my guy he is my pick in a Pym like role as Ted Kord the original Blue Beetle and the Lang like role as Jaime Reyes I would go with Tyler Posey or Xolo

For such an inwardly quiet man he makes 'loud' films with beautiful messages at the heart of them, I too, am a HUGE fan.

I guess so. It kinda feels like it would be a waste of his talents. He’d be much better suited to that Justice League Dark movie that he was writing.

For Blue Beetle, they should have their sights firmly on Travis Knight imo. It’ll probably be an up and coming Latino director who might not be on anyone’s radar

Good to see. A lot of the Latino social media sites were also talking about it when the news broke, so that's a good sign. Imagine when we get a director announcement or release date/casting news lol. WB could have a huge hit with this film!

As long as they don't cancel it im ok, rn with all the projects on line im not expecting news soon so let's wait and see what happens

Diego Boneta as Jaime Reyes? He's mexican and already huge in Mex and other Latin contries thx to a soap opera when he was a kid + the biopic of Luis Miguel, a huge latin american singer, he's also lowkey know in North America since he was part of the Scream Queens show

Get him for Vibe. Jaime has to be a young hero, like Spider-Man. Xolo Maridueña or Diego Tinoco are in the perfect age range for him.

I don't think him or Alfonso Cuaron will ever direct a superhero film, though everyone has a price. Imagine if WB managed to get one of them in the directors chair? That'd be crazy!
