Bonobos are amazing. So are orangutans. I had the opportunity to visit the Great Ape Trust, which is a huge research center focused on bonobo and orangutan congnitive studies here. We watched them do tasks on a computer, communicate with the researchers through sign language, etc. Our group had to turn around and face the back of the room for a while because one of the orangutans indicated that he was embarrassed that so many of us were looking at him. It was a great experience.
