Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhs

My dad laughed at this trailer. And he hates goofy comedies. The scene where the guy is showing him about "not" humor had him rolling.

"My jacket is NOT black!"

This movie is going to be great. And those pictures of him in that swimsuit are absolutely disgusting haha.

Guaranteed laughs right here.

man this movie is going to be absolutely hysterical.

i think it can break into my top 5 movies.

I wonder if he'll ever make a Bruno movie.
He's probably too high-profile now, but he's such a good actor he might be able to pull it off.

Tom Green + Latka (Andy Kaufman) = Borat. Nothing original, or funny here.

I think you are entirely off base. The "Foreign Man" character created by Andy Kaufman was an innocent alter ego that allowed Andy to toy with his stand up audience. Tom Green is a loud mouthed moron. Borat is a social satire. Sacha Baron Cohen becomes other people. His demeanor, his pressence, everything about him changes to fit a character. He owns the character in a way that hasn't been seen by a "comic" in a long time. It's easy to compare him to Andy Kaufman or Peter Sellers, but he takes it to a level that sets him apart from those that came before. Besides...there is literally nothing new under the sun. Originality doesn't exist anymore. One can only hope to be good at what they do and try and bring a new perspective to an old idea.

There was a news story on one of the Channels about how some of the people he duped are all upset now because they feel they were made to look like fools.

Funniest line from the news special was the Hummer Salesman when he said, "Well he asked me how many gypsies can I hit, before damaging the car." I busted out laughing.

^In this day and age of goofy prank/reality shows, how could you not know it was staged, unless you're that idiotic?

Apparently, there were a lot of idiotic people.

I love the title for this film its just great can't wait to see it!

Hey, anybody with the stones to ask someone if their chicken is a homosexual, I gotta tip my hat to this cat. F***in' genius, man.

-so sayeth the mastermind-

His Ali G movie was honestly one of the worst films I ever saw. But this looks like a homerun.

Even on the Ali G show (which I thought was great), I preferred Borat. I never thought he'd get his own film.

I haven't seen the Ali G film. Borat is doing well at RottenTomatoes at the moment (89% Vs Ali G 55%).

Well its godawful. Ali G doing interviews is gold but they tried to build a movie around him and the character just couldn't do it. Borat is perfect for a film because you don't have to write a script around the character.

This film is gonna rule, I love how he is totally racist, that rules.

Maybe Bruno visits Kazakhstan and has to wear a blue hat all the time. Stretch that premise to 90 minutes, and voila.
haha, yeah that wouldn't work.
