Bought/Thought August 30th. (SPOILERS!)

From what I am reading at jinxworld, the Ultimate X-Men Annual sucks.:(

I cant wair for All Star Supes.

Crap?! Really? I had the shop hold one for me till tommorrow too. That and Cable/Deadpool's Civil War tie in.

I might've missed something or maybe things just slipped my mind, things start to get lost when you read so many comics, but.

What happened when Super-Skrull left impersonating Hulkling? Eventually he is in Annhilation, so what happened in between that time period? Wouldn't the Skrull and the Kree go back to Earth to confront the New and Young Avengers for their deceit? Maybe they are to busy with the Annhilation Wave, if so are we gonna get another Kree/Skrull War, [BLACKOUT]Marvel Boy is back[/BLACKOUT], there's also Xavin, and Hulkling.

wtf has all-star batman gone? It was 120,000 seller and its disappeared?!

Cable Deadpool: [BLACKOUT] Ton's of pages are wasted on Deadpool being tied up. like three with next to no dialouge or art change on either one of them. Somebody appears to have died during the Civil War 3 battle thanks to the inclusion of Thor. Cable and Pool travel to the White House, where Dubya, orders Deadpool to take Cable, dead or alive. [/BLACKOUT]

Young Avengers/Runaways: [BLACKOUT] The Maggot Skrull is introduced by SHIELD to capture the Runaways. Meanwhile the YA and Runaways, fight each other, while doing the typical team comic fight, by fighting against the character that shares their similarities. Nico macks on the Patriot and she ends the fight by freezing the hideout. Outside, they talk about the Vision and his similarities to Victor, while Speed shows Molly how to blow stuff up. Xavin and Teddy talk about each others, respective heritages, and Xavien is in awe of Teddy, when his royal ancestry is revealed, and is angry at Ted for not doing anything about it. Before anything can happen though, the Maggot Skrull, snaps Xavins neck, appearing to have killed him [/BLACKOUT]

All Star Superman [BLACKOUT] Nothing much, Clark and Lex wander through a prison riot, with Clark secretley using his powers to save Lex at various times. Oh and the Allstar Parisite debuts[/BLACKOUT]

That was the only good thing about it.

That book just flat out sucks, not even the sexy Jim Lee can save it.:(

I don't think [blackout]Xavin[/blackout] is dead. I mean come on? They just killed Gert. I very much doubt they'd kill someone else. This isn't New X-Men for christ sakes.

Where is Dread when you need him?:(

kaine says xavins neck was snapped and i'm no expert but that shouldn't/ won't (rather obviously) kill a skrull. they heal good. As stated by a slash 'n' hack wolvie in YA #12 btw...

The boys was all right, Billys getting the team together and that was pretty much all that happend in the book. The only other book that I bought and liked was All-Star Superman. Teen Titians really sucks now.

It's in a horrible delay. Thats why.

Current rumor is that the extremely negative reaction from readers and DC staff has forced DC to make Frank Miller to re-write portions of the story.

I wouldn't be surprised. It's so disappointing, to me particularly so because i recently bought Dark Knight Returns... then flicked through ASBARTBW (the full title, lol) and was just... flabbergasted at the difference in writing quality.

I'm stuck in a point now where, I've bought the first three, four issues for various reasons - chief amongst them being the GORGEOUS artwork - and now I don't want to just... stop buying it. I'd rather see it through to at least the end of the first arc, just so i know how the hell things pan out.

Can someone tell me why, however flawed it was, it had an "extremely" negative reaction. Why would it have been bad enough to rewrite it?? It wasn't great, but it wasn't THAT bad, and I was enjoying it, in all its simplistic crappy glory.

I enjoy the comedy of ASB that it gives me......yeah I know, I'm sick:(

K-A, we aren't allowed to call it by its shortened name; it's All-Star Batman And Robin: The Boy Wonder or nothing at all, man! (I suppose you can go for A-SBAR:TBW if you like)

Seriously, why the long winded title Frank?

and why the title being dominated by robin? its a nice take on the legend, i'll give him that

it's an... interesting take!

hey, what happened at the end of She-Hulk 11? I won't get my comics 'til next week probably, but i wanna know noooow!

Through out the entire issue, a voice is mysteriously talking to John and anyone in his vaccinity at the time. At the end while on the operating table to get Two-Gun's silver bullet removed, John suddenly levitates into air as the bullet exits his body. The voice tells him the ''full power" is his now and that he is the Star God. Jen, now realizing that Starfox was the only reason she was in love with John, still rushes down to the operating room and hugs him happily. John tells her that he's more than alive and says that he now has vast cosmic powers, that he could wisk them across the galaxy, change the course of the planets, or in a snap go back to being just plain ole John Jameson. Jen says that's good cause the Man-Wolf thing isn't really working for her. Then John says ''But I won't...unless you go first."

None of you bastards have read Justice?Clean yourselves you filthy mongrels!

Astro City Special #1-Fck the high cover price, this is one of the best single issues I've ever read.I love the whole idea of Astro City and how Kurt uses the archetypes to tell great stories. No superhero fan is to be without this.

Daredevil #88-It occured to me today,we're still reading pretty much the same story since DD #26(Bendis' 1st issue),which was years ago,and it STILL hasn't become boring.Bru writes a great issue which centers around friendship, fear, and accountability.Excellent stuff.

Justice #7
-Jim Lee 2-page Batcave spread, eat your heart out.The Fortress of Solitude was simply jaw dropping to say the least.Drop whatever other crap you're reading and buy this goddamn book people.Superheroes being heroic and bold, villains being creepy, evil and badass. What more could you want?Alex Ross' ***** for the silver age is only a plus when it comes to his gorgeous paintings on every page. This is one of the top 5 superhero books out there today.

Justice: Wait for the trade.

Get ready for a long wait Darth. They're not collecting the entire series for a while. They're releasing 3 separate trades containing 4 issues each first.

O RLY?

Action Comics #842: I really liked this ish, about thirty times better than #841 was, with all that unreadable robot-speech. I don't know why Busiek would print such drivel. However, this ish was good, and Woods' art really kicks ass.

Trials of Shazam #1: I don't know that much about Captain Marvel. I always thought that the premise was great but I soured on the whole Marvel family thing--a little too hokey, in my mind. Why not just leave it be with Captain Marvel and Black Adam (a character that 52 has familiarized to me, and the familiarization of DC's universe is easily that book's best quality in my eyes, as I am fairly lukewarm to the book otherwise). So, I pick up this book, because I want to get into Captain Marvel, even though he only ever gets minis, and even though Judd Winick is writing. I figured he wouldn't get too statement-y on this book; I'm happy to report that he didn't. From what I have heard about his Green Arrow and Batman stuff, I can only assume that this is the best thing he's put out in quite some time. With no attachment to Billy Batson, and with only passing knowledge of the mythos, I can only assume that my desire for there to be fewer Marvel family members is being satisfied, with the end of this issue, as the main man seems to be movin' on up to the east side. This book was pretty, pretty, pretty good. I'll be buying the rest of the series.
