I most certainly have.

Flash and Nightwing OYL were NOT good.

Batgirl is getting a character raping.

The destruction of the JLE is depressing.

The new Blue Beetle is meh.
Added your name to the topic.

Glad to see someone else read ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR #33 and ULTIMATE X-MEN ANNUAL #2. Carey had some big shoes to fill, but I'd repeat that I probably think this issue was his worst UF4 work yet, and he's written a few stories with them. His annual was much better. But for it was because most of this issue was lost in alien jargon. Without that, the story was generic so far; aliens get lost, wander about, fight ensues.

Now that we're talking about titles of DC that suck....I'd like to add Green Lantern and Teen Titians to that list. The only reason I buy TT now is becuase of Rose, Kid Devil and Tim. Wonder Girl pisses me off in TT....and well pretty much every comic I've seen her in so far, like 52 and Wonder Women. Superman and Action Comics is sucking now too, although I like the art in Superman.

BTW, after finishing WIZARD #180, I stand with a statement made by a fan they printed last issue; WIZARD really comes off as double faced when they take part in the cheerleading for a title, and then when they review it in the TPB article, they cop to the fact that it wasn't that hot. Case in point; for 6 months Wizard was patting Bendis and his NEW AVENGERS issues like the best of 'em. Comes time to review the TPB for THE COLLECTIVE, oh, NOW all of a sudden that almighty arc warrents a D+ grade, eh? Can any of the readers who may have read that because Wizard endorsed it, all 7 of them, get their money back? But I can understand Wizard's actions, really. It has to make nice most of the time because despite their monopoly, they're obsolete thanks to the Internet, so DC and Marvel could shut them down tomorrow if they just refused to direct any "exclusives" for them, now that Comics Continuum, ComixFan, Newarama, et al have pretty much done their job for them on the 'net. So as annoying as it is for Wizard to kiss ass 90% of the time and never cop to any of the sins of the industry except in small, rare snippets, you can understand them not biting the hands that feed them.

Yeah, the TT team is a little weak right now but I'm still loving he book.

Final Thoughts:

Cable & Deadpool: I thought last issue was great with Deadpool taking the main stage, showcasing what makes him a great character....but, this issue is just as good, showcasing Cable and the story of Civil War. The entire story of Civil War reflects so much of what's going on in our country, that when Cable tells the President, "History will not be kind to you," you really get the feeling that the writer is expressing his current views of Bush. While many may feel it isn't a comics place to give personal political views, I disagree. I think we should be made to think about what we believe in, what our stance on certain issues should be. All this, and one of the biggest mysteries to come out of Civil War yet...the mysterious death at the hands of Thor. 9/10

All-Star Superman #5: For me, this is the best issue yet. It finally brings us back into focus the fact that Superman is dying, and it's at the hands of his greatest enemy. (Although, they really make Lex Luthor seem like a joke at numerous times.) For once, I'm really waiting for the next issue, and I hope they start to focus on the main story, and not keep having this single issues that focus on a singular character in Superman's world. Either way, it's much, much better than All-Star Batman and Robin. 9/10

Teen Titans #38: Teen Titans and The Outsiders were two titles after Infinite Crisis that I was definitely going to keep picking up. I love the characters and the way they interact, and New Teen Titans was one of my favorite comics back in the 80's that DC put out. The mix of new characters, like Ravager, really mix well with the older characters. 8/10

52: Definitely, the best title DC is putting out right now. I think Marvel could really learn how to take the secondary characters they have and make them more interesting, just like this title does. I know that MTU is soon cancelled....but, if MTU did more for it's lesser known characters like 52 is doing, the book might still be around. With this issue, the return of Lobo is a great addition to this book. He's never been a character I've really loved....but, they have me interested in him now. 10/10

American Way #7: I'm thinking this is the best miniseries of the year. I'm sad that it only has one more issue to go...but, it looks like that last one is going to be a doozy. The last page has me excited to see the effects that this Civil War is going to have. Needless to say, if you haven't been buying this book each month, definitely go out and buy the tpb when it comes out. 10/10

American Virgin #6: Now, this book might be considered for worst miniseries of the year. The writer is suppose to be portraying his main character as a strict religious young man who is intent on keeping his virginity until marriage, all the while surrounding him with the mystery of the beheading of his girlfriend. But, it's clear that the writer doesn't know crap about how a young Christian male would act. The book is an embarrassment to read, and it's clear that Steven Seagle is just trying to write for shock value. Plus, the art is a distraction to what's already a crappy book. 5/10

The Trials Of Shazam #1: First, Shazam has never interested me as a character. But, with reading everything that's happened during and after Infinite Crisis, I knew I'd want to check this title out. I'm glad I did. While not a perfect book in any way, it did have enough action and a little twist at the end to keep me interested in what happens next. In fact, out of all the "Brave New World" books I've read so far, it might be the best. The only problems with the title is that you really don't get to know the characters that well, the art isn't what I really like, and it does read very fast (I think I finished this issue in probably 5 minutes). 7/10

Action Comics #842: I'm not a big Superman fan, but I've been loving the last two covers of this book. Plus, it has been featuring other DC superheroes that I like; so, I figured I'd pick up this storyline for the heck of it. The story is pretty decent, although it seems kind of silly that everyone doubts whether Superman is the real Superman. I figure, Clark Kent and Lois Lane would state it's him in the Daily Bugle, and that would put all doubts to rest. Either way, if you like Superman, you'll probably enjoy the story...If you don't like Superman, you probably won't miss anything exciting in any of his titles. Even after OYL, it appears to be the same old stuff that I was reading years ago. 7/10

Young Avengers & Runaways #2: Two of my favorite titles from Marvel come together in what was destined to eventually happen. Both teams share many similarities, and both teams were eventually going to come to blows and have to finally team up to fight a common enemy. Yep, we've seen it many, many times; so, to see it again really doesn't have much of an impact on me. And, I find each team's individual books to be much better than the first two issues of this miniseries. My score is for the fact that nothing that happens in this book really surprised me much, unlike Cable & Deadpool. 7/10

Doc, you and I both know the only thing Lucas changed between the original release and the special editions was that "Episode IV" was added.

That's not exactly true. He added in the scene which makes it look like Han fires second in the bar. To me, that changes the arc that Han goes through during the course of the movie ,from ruthless mercenary to hero. You can have subtraction by addition. Now, before you get mad, I'm actually supporting your case, because I think most SW fans were upset with that change.

I won't comment on IC, since I didn't read it. But I would be upset if Marvel did it because they needed a fill-in artist for Civil War. And no matter how good the art is, I would always look at it like you would a "flashback scene."

Seriously, where exactly did Lex lose his eyebrow in ASS #5?

As he and Clark were escaping down that hallway from the Parasite. He wipes his left brow and the eyebrow comes off.
