Comingsoon's predictions:

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest: For the first time in four years, the Weekend Warrior is going on record to say that Dead Man's Chest will break Spider-Man's 3-day weekend record with $115 to 118 million over the weekend after a Friday opening in the $43 to 45 million range. Its legs may not be anywhere near to the first movie, but it should end the summer with over $300 million.

If it does break that record it will only be because of inflated ticket prices.

I don't think it will make that much this weekend.

One thing is for sure. Superman is dead in the water.

Superman may not be the world's greatest superhero at the box office, but the Man of Steel still flies high.

Superman Returns took in $52.15 million over opening weekend, lifting its five-day total since its debut Wednesday to $84.2 million, according to studio estimates Sunday.

That puts the Warner Bros. film ahead of the premiere of last year's Batman Begins, another Warner superhero revival, which took in $48.7 million over its opening weekend and $72.9 million in its first five days. But Superman Returns finished far behind Sony's Spider-Man 2, the record-holder for best five-day openings, with $152.4 million over Fourth of July weekend in 2004.

Well, POTC2 can break Spidey's record, but it is still doubtful for me.

I think it will make about $35-40m opening day and $90-100m opening weekend.

Any movie can in essense break Spidey's record however after how many luke warm movies since May, everyone seems to be thinking Pirates will be this juggernaut. It might just have some moderate success. This is the first year in a while, where a May movie hasn't done extremely well.

Comingsoon's predictions:

Little Man: $17 to 19 million on its way to $55 million

You, Me and Dupree: $15 to 17 million on its way to $65 million.

And they predict a 51% drop for POTC. Whatever happens it shouldn't have any problems to remain at the number one spot for at least another weekend

It made an estimated $7,6 million on Friday...

Little Man hits second place with 21 million. Hand it to the Wayans, they make mediocre stuff, but it always turns a hefty profit compared to its budget.

Looks like Pirates will be number one this year, because I can't see anything that could beat it. And it should be interesting to see if Cars can beat X-Men
