Brexit

Scotland and Ireland where near unanymous in Bremain. Alas, there is no civility, only politics.
London wanted to remain mostly as well. The population of London is bigger than the whole of scotland and northern Ireland combined.
Yeah, I read somewhere they were REALLY pro-Bremain.

They were but that doesn't mean they all want a united Ireland. A lot of people in the republic do not want a united Ireland.

Brexit: what is in store for the UK economy?

I can't believe Britain let a bunch of uninformed citizens make this decision. Willing to bet money most of the ones that voted to leave don't have a damn clue about trade or what the consequences will be.

You know the best thing about it is legally this referendum isn't binding. So we don't technically have to leave the EU. But that would be political suicide for anyone who decides that.

Think about that for a second. THIS REFERENDUM ISN'T LEGALLY BINDING!

There may yet be a twist to this.

Then we can truly say Democracy is dead and we can all engage in civil war and see who emerges up top.

I kinda figured this might happen eventually. I heard Cameron also resigned. Not a good legacy to end with...well there was that scandal with him and a dead pig, but this might overshadow that.

:funny: Yeah, I'm sure he'd take Brexit over the pig scandal every day of the week. As much as I disliked Cameron, the worry now is who comes after. If it is indeed to be Boris Johnson then we're in for Trump levels of trouble

That's what I was thinking, they don't have to leave but they are doing so due to political compulsions. Cameron shouldn't have called referendum at all.

On the other side of the fence, 48.1 % voted against leaving, don't they count politically ?

They just think that they've solved the problem of the immigrants, and since they're obviously the root of all evil, that's every problem solved. People aren't smart.

The markets will balance out. Especially now that the Netherlands and France are apparently going to hold a referendum to leave. We'll be getting some more official announcements as the day and week goes by.

I'm from the Netherlands. We're not leaving the EU any time soon.

Democracy must not die. So let's kill the immigrants and refugees instead.

Then we can truly say Democracy is dead and we can all engage in civil war and see who emerges up top.

It's strange you say this, since this democratic decision may lead to a complete meltdown of the UK. Democracy as the ultimate political standard is dead.

See, it's funny to me. Some posters' ACTUAL political beliefs are what Sidious/Palpatine used as an excuse to mask his true intentions and plans.

Craig has the US leaving the EU as well. :o :funny:
We'll be leaving NATO and destroying NAFTA soon. I have that on the agenda. Giving Japan, South Korea and Germany full autonomy will be the next step too and deepening and strengthening our alliances with them but with intact sovereignty.

Very simple.

I think we are all avoiding the most important question. Will the UK still be allowed to compete in Eurovision?

There would be riots in the street if they didn't honour the vote results.
If Scotland and Northern Ireland leave the UK can they then join the EU?

They would have to negotiate for membership in there new independent status.

Ain't no riot like a over 50s white male riot, because over 50s white male riots don't stop. :o

Well hopefully they do. Then the Bremainers in England can go to NI, Wales, or Scotland and leave the Brexiters to sink with the HMS England. :hehe:

2016 has been a crazy year, I wonder what comes next.

I want to see a massive influx of Englishmen and Welsh moving to Scotland or NI. You want to see borders close fast? :lmao:
