Who searched? The assumption is the leave vote. What if it was remain who thought they had it in the bag? What if it was children trying to learn what the fuss is about? What if it was eu immigrants seeing what happens to them?

No it has to be the leave vote because they are too stupid to know what's best for them.

Given they ignored the advice of countless financial experts it's easy to make that assumption.

Anti-Intellectualism has turned into a goddamn raging cancer.

i think often of how mitt romney had to keep the fact that he was proficient in french on the down low because it would cast him in a bad light with the republican base. heaven forbid the american president, a global statesmen, could speak a second language. this is what we're dealing with in america, but it's also nothing really new. it was the same mindset that voted in reagan, who did everything he could to destroy the unions, and by proxy, the middle class. it ushered in the era of manufacturing jobs being sent overseas, and instead of blaming themselves for voting in the party that made such a thing possible, some americans instead need an 'other' to scapegoat and for taking their jobs. thankfully, america has become a much more diverse nation in the past 30 years and an open bigot like trump as a result has a hard ceiling.

Yeah

exit polls - U.S. president
2000 - 81% non-Hispanic white electorate
2004 - 77% non-Hispanic white electorate
2008 - 74 % non-Hispanic white electorate
2012 - 72% non-Hispanic white electorate
2016 - likely <72% non-Hispanic white electorate

I could deal with evolution. But 330k net immigration a year all dumped on the poorest parts with average 40k houses built a year, austerity and no extra jobs available? Guess what? People are going to have the hump. Standard of living has dropped for a large % of the population. But as long as it doesn't effect you it's "rose tinted glasses".
I've tried stating all the facts of similar stats here state side and why so many support Donald Trump but apparently it's not an opinion that's allowed to be held according to the Orwellian goon squad.

I'm sure all you intellectuals really capitalized on this moment to buy bargain stocks and didn't simply spend the whole day touting more of the same from the same echo chamber the majority seem to be getting their disinfo from, right? Surely, right!?

Classic. :hehe:

Sometimes, I want to see Trump win, just so in a few years, when everything hits the fan, we can look at all the Trump supporters and go "so.....you were saying back in 2016?"

That already happened with Bush supporters. Are you sure you want a sequel of the turmoil that happened during his two terms? Trump is likely to be much worse.

the financial markets took a DIVE, the pound is at its lowest point since the 80s, and not ONE credible economist thinks this was a good idea in any way

citizens were sold a bill of goods

it may just not go **** up overnight, but it will happen

Bush, Clinton and Obama were all identical and preordained candidates (stated by CNN pundits by the likes of Bernstein, Gergen, and Bash) part of the same global order. Trump simply hijacked the Republican party to gain a platform for his movement.

Trump is Trump.

And Bush supporters never owned up to the Dubya Disaster. Trump supporters won't either. If you delusional enough to think the Tangerine Dream is in this for any other reason than his ego then reality doesn't have any presence in your mind.

Im a brown person living in America, Id be screwed once the Muslims and Mexicans are exterminated (because thats really what Trump wants)

Bush was a massive failure. The biggest of the failures of the last three big globalist presidents. I voted for Obama two times and I don't regret the vote as I figured one whole presidential cycle of globalism would be the tipping point for not only the United States but the world.

Things are far more unconventional and complicated than simply Democrat is good and Republican is bad. It's far more complicated than that. Far more.

It's comments like this that truly create the level of ignorant fueled push back we keep seeing in mass all over the place.

Its the "brown" people that suffer the most due to massive unchecked waves of illegal immigration. It's the main reason why wages stay stagnant something even the liberal/socialist God Bernie Sanders has been saying for years.

That's the truth and Sanders, Trump, Johnson, and Farrage along with many other true lovers of Democracy and the truth have been saying for months (some even years) now.

Trump hijacked the Republican party because let's be brutally honest about it...he knows hatred, fear, and ignorance fuels the GOP. The majority of the voters don't care about truth and they don't care about facts which is a bullsh** artist's wet dream.

Oxymoron.

Given the stakes involved the referendum should've had to clear 60% in order for "leave" to win. As it is, the country is divided right down the middle. If the vote were held again tomorrow, "remain' might win.

Actually I was hoping that the polling was correct and common sense would prevail but if you think people losing money and jobs because of some ill-informed people succumbing to the propaganda tropes of fear and nationalism is funny then I hope your laugh is worth it.

Well it'll certainly be profitable for those that decided to jump in the water today.

Plus the markets will rebound (they never fully rebounded since 2008 by the way). Just in case you thought Mr. Obama made everything better again.

Some people just want to see the world burn.

I would love to be able to predict the markets like members here can. What a skill! They could make millions!

The way right wingers are being loud and arrogant you'd think the stock market was skyrocketing recently.

More ignorance.

Obviously I won't make millions as I didn't invest nearly enough to see yields like that. I will make a decent enough of a profit however if the markets start to stabilize in the coming weeks and months (which they most likely will).
