i think often of how mitt romney had to keep the fact that he was proficient in french on the down low because it would cast him in a bad light with the republican base. heaven forbid the american president, a global statesmen, could speak a second language. this is what we're dealing with in america, but it's also nothing really new. it was the same mindset that voted in reagan, who did everything he could to destroy the unions, and by proxy, the middle class. it ushered in the era of manufacturing jobs being sent overseas, and instead of blaming themselves for voting in the party that made such a thing possible, some americans instead need an 'other' to scapegoat and for taking their jobs. thankfully, america has become a much more diverse nation in the past 30 years and an open bigot like trump as a result has a hard ceiling.

Probably over a dozen times if not more.

In fact Schlosser straight up called me a brown shirt and replied with Third Reich pictures. That's just Schlosser and not even including the lot of others who happily joined in.

Not as if anything will come of it as it wasn't even addressed when I was a mod.

Hopefully the Brexiters that realized they made a mistake will do the intelligent thing and vote to remain.

After what happened today with the market, the pound, NI and Scotland wanting to leave the UK, and the reality of their monumental mistake kicking them in the teeth I wouldn't be surprised if parliament is sweating bullets trying to find a way to not leave the EU. Another vote might be their answer.

More countries will announce before the end of July that they'll be doing their own referendums to leave or remain in the EU.

That's why the markets will stabilize when the dust settles (they will completely tank if not spaced out appropriately, so on that front there should be some form of internal coordination amongst those still in the EU). Keep an eye out for a global reset on debt and deficits within the next year to act as a reset.
