British sci-fi adventure show

I'm thinking of a show from the 90's. I can't remember the name. It was about members of a spaceship crew who are awakened from suspended animation, and find themselves in the middle of some sort of perilous situation. The crew was diverse, but all were quite young. They all had different technical skills. The spaceship had an AI, which was manifested as a female holographic image. I think this aired on the Sci-Fi channel in the US. I seem to remember the pilot getting poor reviews. The show didn't last long. I know there's someone reading these boards, who knows what I'm talking about, and can tell me the name of this show.

I know it's a very general description, but it was a very general show. And anyways, there can only be so many British space shows from the 90's to choose from.

This wasn't Red Dwarf. It didn't have a large following, and though it was lighthearted, it wasn't a comedy. To my memory, the production value on this show was pretty good. Sets, costumes, etc. looked fairly decent. I've never seen Red Dwarf USA before, but I deeply regret watching the clip that black dust posted.

Same reason they wanted to remake spaced, same reason they made the office..... its all about the money
