Transformers BumbleBee Questions

Ok I figure he was called Bumble Bee because he is yellow but why in the world would an Autobot from Cybertron be called an Insect from Earth? Why are the other Autobots called what they are, Ratchet, Jazz, Iron hide? Optimas has an awesome name though. Not ranting just curious. I mean those are Earth names and doesn't sound like Transformers would be named something like that on Cybertron.

Naturally I get a smart ass comment. Yea I am from Cyberton, why do you ask? Yea I bet there is a Bumblee Bee on Cybertron. I know they are toys and that is the reason they are named that. I just wanted a Transformer reason why they are named what they are. I thought maybe they named theirselfs different names when they got on Earth.

In the cartoon/comic.... I dunno. Why did Captain Kirk always land on a planet that spoke English?

Why does it matter? I am obviously a Transformer fan and I was curious. You Obviously don't know or you wouldn't come in here with smart comments. I mean honestly. If you don't have anything to add to the post why read it or why bother to comment? Why on this forum does people have to be so rude and flame. Supposedly in Star Trek aliens didn't speak English. Kirk and crew heard English spoke through their Universal Translators. The creator of Star Trek said the tv set has a Universal Translator and we hear English, haha. I figured that was the reason they were called those names on Earth, I was wondering if they had different names on Cybertron before they even heard about Earth. Reason I made a post about it.

Alright homosexuals don't creep you out, good deal. Who cares anyway, I just made a comment about someone having sick picture of Batman and Robin in a homo erotic pose. It is a sick picture of them and I don't care what anyone says. My post isn't about debating on homosexual antics, it's about why are the Autobots named what they are named.

I will start off by saying I don't know this as fact and I'm not sure if the creators have a real reason why their names are what they are.

I do know these things about "Bumble Bee"

1. In the cartoon and comics Bumble Bee was an autobot that changed into a Voltzwagen Beetle.

2. Those types of cars were nicknamed "Bugs" and he is a yellow bug so... "Bumble Bee"

3. From the movie atleast he could only talk through radio and sometimes to me he sounded like he was buzzing like a bee. Mainly when he was getting kidnapped.

4. Like someone else stated Optimus said they picked names through the internet that most fit their skills and personality.

So to answer your question really no one knows for sure why they get their names as Earthly stuff but everyone has an idea of how they did.

P.S. As a Batman fan that Avatar with the gay batman and robin is disturbing but hilarious. lol

Thanks, good to get some good feedback. Yea I never cared when I was a little kid or even thought why they had their names but then with the movie coming out I started to wonder haha. I am a Batman fan also and when I seen that I was like ''haha wtf''. Poor Batman, he deserves better then that.
